Surprising
Was looking for an inexpensive volume pedal. Saw this on You Tube. The wa wa is better than expected and the build looks n feels good. Good deal for the money.

Another pleasant surprise from valeton.
The media could not be loaded. So as I've said in other reviews I'm putting together a small pedalboard for when I'm too bored to carry my heavy and bulky pedaltrain. After trying a mini crybaby (I ended up selling it because the sound on the cleans was just meeehh) I decided to go for this one since the price was right and so far I've got great experience with this company and their support plus it works as a volume pedal. Packaging and build quality:The packaging as can be seen on the photos is quite simple, sturdy cardboard with a nice little card describing the features and the specifications of the pedal. The pedal itself is made of hard plastic which at first I thought would be filmsy, but after receiving it I have to say it seems very sturdy and has already withstood almost a week of abuse under my boots. That's said I'll update the review should any reliability issues occur. It is lighter than the crybaby obviously but the material they've used on top has better feel to it, is a bit stickier and therefore gives you a nicer feel when you rock it, more secure. A huge plus is the inclusion of led lights which indicate the mode you are in, being green when in volume mode and red when in wah mode. Sound and range:This is where the pedal shines. In volume mode the range is great (over the 80% of my Ernie ball volume range), which makes it very usable. I use volume a lot and I thought that volume mode on this would be more of a gimmick but I actually find myself reaching for it instead od my guitars volume quite often. Despite the very satisfactory range though, it is also very smooth since the input impedance is 1M ohms. Wah mode is my favourite and the reason I got it essentially. By rocking the pedal all the way down and putting some pressure on the tip of your foot you activate wah mode. I'm very picky with my wah tone since I use it for funky clean rhythms, distorted rhythms and heavily distorted leads. This is why I've got 2 wahs on my regular pedalboard, an evh crybaby for everything distorted and a vox v847 for everything clean. This one thankfully falls in between the two categories. Is it the best wah ever created? Definitely not. But being a bit more aggressive than the vox and a bit more mellow than the crybaby it manages to be the jack of all trades, fitting all the bills more than enough.Final verdict :If you are in the market for a mini wah, want something cheaper, lighter and with extra capability of volume control then this one is for you. Extra points, again, for the led indicators plus the very low noise compared to most other wahs when engaged.
