New Era in my TV Experience
My previous TV was 32inches, so this 49 inch was a bit of a "shock to my system", (I'm a pensioner in my 70s).I unpacked it myself, but I am quite fit. I set it onto the existing TV table and plugged it in. The Magic remote came with the TV and I fitted the batteries. I have internet and wired the TV direct to my router. Switched on the TV, and played with the remote. I followed the on screen instructions. All worked well.WHAT I DON'T LIKE.1 All these "permissions" impingeing on my privacy, and some might not even be necessary. e.g. registration for the guarantee. the LG site would not recognise my TV model. I phoned the help line and was told that registration was not necessary!!!2 The feet on the TV set are VERY, VERY wide appart, (95cm) and I couldn't set it at a convenient viewing angle on the TV Table. I had to make up a shelf to allow one of the feet to slightly overhang the rear of the table and also the front of the table. With a bit of thought by the designers, I'm sure that 80cms would be adequate and achievable, as well as being more convenient for most, who have to set the TV in a corner of the room.Overall, I am very happy and am still experimenting with all the settings and capabilities, including bluetooth for my earphones. Great TV

Excellent all round TV
I originally bought the Hisense H55U7AUK 55-Inch 4K Ultra HD, which I returned within 24 hours because the picture quality was extremely poor. I decided to spend the extra £200 on this LG model and boy I am glad I did.The picture quality straight out of the box is excellent and requires very little adjusting to achieve the optimal settings. Sound is also very good, even without a sound bar.The magic remote is also a nice touch. The voice recognition and mouse like pointer that appear on the screen makes the TV even easier to use.Extremely easy to set up, the TV goes through everything step by step and helps you all the way.Overall excellent TV, I would definitely highly recommend.

Dolby Atmos, Dolby Vision, LG WebOS, LG Magic remote
I needed a quality second TV for our Games/Kids room. The TV gets used for Xbox one and a number of Films e.t.c. My main TV is a LG 960 OLED which is nothing short of stunning. Being a second TV, I didn't have the budget for another OLED so looked at alternatives. After reading a number of reviews this TV ticked all of the boxes, Game Mode has a very low LAG, Magic Remote, same tech as used in the OLEDs for black, the fantastic LG WebOS, Dolby Atmos, and Vision. My only concerns were that a number of people have commented on dark scenes, the IPS/LED shining through to almost a gray, I believe Linus Tech Tips also covered this TV in one of their shows but did put it next to a Premium top end OLED (Over 3k)I've received it and very impressed. I'm impressed with the blacks, they look really good and not to much backlight bleed. The standard out of the box picture settings are on the ECO side, so will need playing around with but very impressed considering owning an OLED. I believe the increased backlight bleed maybe possibly from the Dolby Vision was I tested on Netflix.Sound wise, it's actually not bad - using two 10w speakers the sound actually does travel quite well where I have it setup. I would recommend a sound bar or a set of decent speakers for the main TV though, but perfectly adequate - just nothing special.Fantastic premium TV, along with WebOS and the Magic remote - it's a pleasure to use.

Awful Picture
Such a disappointing experience with this tv. The picture was simply terrible. None of the default settings gave a good picture - all different degrees of wishy-washy. Action in dark scenes had a ghostly haze around it and footballs bled into the grass. After much fiddling I finally got a half-decent picture but by changing channels or using the DVD player the picture changed. Bloody awful! To top it all it is nearly three weeks since I returned it and still no refund. Funny how it only took a day to process the delivery.Amazon are generally good but this has been a bad one.

Outstanding
Picked this TV months ago and was fortunate enough to buy it when it was reduced to £479 for Jan sales. Delighted as everywhere else sold it at £549.At first sight, it's not exactly the thinnest or most attractive TV but I knew it was a bargain and an excellent unit. Unpacking was quick and easy. Once it was connected up and wall mounted, I switched it on and the set up took only a few minutes.Sound quality was absolutely outstanding, actually better than through my LG soundbar! Picture quality was stunning too, even more so when I loaded 4k content on Netflix! 4 HDMI ports were one main selling point for me. I immediately connected FireStick, PS4 and Sky Q. They all work seamlessly. What's better is that it's voice activated either through the magic remote (included), or via Echo Dot - "Alexa, ask TV to switch to Playstation" - Brilliant! So not the best looking TV but stunning performance in picture, sound and functionality. Definitely a good decision and a steal at the price. Actually £549 would still not have been a disappointment either. Would highly recommend.*** Update Oct 2019: Picture was very dull when switching on. LG asked to see some photographic evidence then arranged for a repair. Rather than fixing in the house, they insisted on returning for a bench repair (to replace the panel), which could take around 3 weeks. Not ideal with a wife and young baby at home all day. Have to live with a broken TV.

Amazing for the price!
Was looking a TV that was 4K HDR with Dolby Atmos support and was surprised to find this one for the price it was. The picture quality is amazing and the smart features are great (this being my first smart TV). Was going to buy an OLED one for around double the price of this one but this will definitely do for now. I can always upgrade later. The only negative thing I heard about this TV was the blacklight bleeding which isn't really something that would turn me away from it.
