Clear Spot Voyager Wireless Hotspot

Just a little about myself - I'm currently a tech school student in the Air Force and am currently residing in a dormitory on Lackland AFB, Texas.It's now my 2nd day having the Clear Spot Voyager. I had received it yesterday in the mail (I got 1-day shipping because I just couldn't wait to get myself some internet) and set-up was ridiculously easy! The representatives over the phone were extremely friendly and I felt as if the product itself was worth what I had paid for. I'm currently on the $54.99 plan; you have two plans to choose from including the one that I just mentioned, the other one being about $35 although it's 3 times slower than the $54.99 plan (6.0 MB/s DL speed). The coverage is great and I have no problems with doing everyday tasks on my laptop and phone.If I had discovered this earlier before when I was a civilian I still would have gotten it and would definitely recommend it to anybody that's moving around a lot. I'm also thinking of cutting down the data on my cellphone bill being that I now have this. A lot of the other students in tech school down here also have the Clear Spot Voyager and I've really only been hearing good reviews on this device so far. Definite must buy, especially for the price being offered as well.

I received ONE email from Clear, about a month ago, saying that Sprint has bought them out and they will no longer be in business. The change over will take place in November. That's fine by me. I was looking around for another portable WiFi hot spot anyway.Clear was good 2 years ago when I first got the device. Since then the service has progressively become worse and more expensive. I think it became too popular too fast and they couldn't keep up. It's a good thing Sprint snapped them up. They needed the help. However, I'm done. I've already found another hot spot device with a different carrier.

The device itself is pretty good compact construction with also being light and portable.Pretty simple setup. Press power button, open browser, redirect to plan selection, pay and activate and get access to internet.4g plans are around 50-60 $ for unlimited 10mbps speeds. I noticed that speeds will deteriorate over time/use.Did some speed tests using [...] off the bat after activation.RESULTS: 4/5 BAR CONNECTION WIRED, 60 PING, 4.42 Mbps DOWNLOAD SPEED, 0.97 Mbps UPLOAD SPEEDConclusion: Pretty good hotspot device for price when you get unlimited 4g plans. Recommended for people who work abroad, on the go, vacations, ect. to watch movies, play games, video, or web browse.

For now I love it, It is already miles ahead at receiving a signal than the Clear Express Hub that I have been using. With my Clear Express Hub I had to actually attached it to a wifi extender because some wiring became loose on the Express Hub, and would not shoot out a wifi signal otherwise. I have had the product for almost a month but haven't activated it until today. There was a problem with me not being able to set it up the device due to the fact that it was still being used by the previous owner. I messaged the seller, and within an hour he messaged me back apologizing for the problem, told me he had done this before ever selling it to me. I believe him wholeheartedly as he took care of it quite quickly with it being a month after the day of purchase at that.

Depends on the area you Live in. I ll lose my 4g connection for about 5-10 sec before it reconnects and I rarely hold a solid connection for prolonged periods of time, very frustrating when your trying to game on your Playstation or Xbox. Video Streaming and Internet browsing work surprisingly well however. It's a hit or miss with this device.

Runs average i like the speed and the fact that if u have no service in your home area they will refund everything with no hassle and only 54.! $ cheap. ( pick a plan that work for you)

If I could give it a MINUS star I would. This $%#$ thing worked for the first week or so then things went south. Clear's Customer Service Department is a joke. My cat knows more. In the end it seem there was problem with the signal tower.......for OVER two weeks!!!!!!!! I live on the North Side of Chicago, not out in the Boonies. Why someone couldn't have climbed up and fixed the stupid tower is beyond me. Now I use it as a paperweight. Lesson learned

Great, much smaller and a easy to conceal from others. However, I was surprise that I had to search else where instead of getting this product right from Clear.Why is my price increase when I was informed about going to this other company for service. I would have never cross over to this company to have my internet to increase.Debra
