LEARNING ADVANTAGE Magnetic Dry Erase Straight Edge, 24”

These geometry teaching tools were super helpful this year, particularly the protractor. The triangles have smaller triangle cutouts that can be traced onto the whiteboard which is useful when you need a smaller triangle. The tools are a bit larger than I imagined; almost too large. The 4 I ordered take up most of an entire 3x4’ whiteboard when not in use. The quality on these is good. They are sturdy and I like the big handles. Regarding the magnets, mine give me no issues at all. The magnets are just right. However I received an extra ruler and triangle and gave them to a teacher friend down the hall. The ruler magnetizes to her whiteboard just fine, but the triangle slides off. The triangle I gave her is ever so slightly concave from sitting in my vehicle for several weeks, and that may be why. I give these 5 stars and definitely recommend them to all my teacher friends.

I joke about the fact (and some students tease me) that I can't draw a straight line to save my life. I appreciate that this ruler is large enough for whiteboards, is magnetic, and has a handle. The handle keeps it stable and easy to relocate. I wish the magnets were a bit stronger, but that is my preference, not really a criticism.

I LOVE this product! Yes, it does slide, but add four heavy duty magnets to the back and it works so well! I am purchasing one for all homeroom teachers in my building. Four stars because of the weak magnets. Good stuff

This stayed on my board with no problems. After reading reviews, I had planned to add magnets. I did not need to. Makes drawing graphing lines so easy!

This ruler, while it does indeed hold on a whiteboard, could have been built in a more solid manner. It "feels" cheap in the hands and in use, however has a handle to hold down while drawing straight lines. Material feels like hardened Styrofoam. Makes for great straightedge, and the size is very good. Does not scrape/scratch whiteboard enamel. As far as the magnets, they are literally glued onto the back. I would have expected as continuous magnet but as of the time I see no better product out there. Before you buy, be sure that your whiteboard is indeed magnetic.

This is great for math teachers and art teachers trying to demonstrate one point perspective on the board!

Magnets are small sticky magnets. I placed the ruler on my board when I received it, the next day lifted to use it, and most the magnets stuck to the board not the ruler. Disappointing quality. Magnet is not made for what it’s being sold as.

I needed to add more magnets to the back, otherwise it slid down the board, when I wasn’t holding it. It is an ok length. I should have ordered a 30” ruler, but it is light to hold and is made with good quality plastic.

It's fine for a straight edge, but the magnets are too weak to stay up on the whiteboard. Other magnets works just fine. For a 1 month shipping time, it wasn't worth the wait.
