These work just as good as the original!
So to be completely transparent, I never actually cut these keys. I bought them only for their keyless entry ability. The keys were very easy to program, and worked with my car flawlessly. The fact that these keys are so cheap, when the original are hundreds of dollars make these a must have. As far as durability goes, that is a hard one. The original key snapped, and Toyota told me that these kind of keys, even the ones that cost hundreds of dollars, snap easily because they are plastic inside. Well, if that is the cause, why not just buy this and replace it when needed?

Lock smith problem
if you don't have original key these may not start car , and cost you more than if you bought one from the lock smith to cut and program, most wont program unless you buy fob from there store.. but for the 80$ invested to purchase and cut i have two door openers.

You can save a lot of money
I bought these for a few bucks and programmed them myself off of a YouTube video. Toyota wanted 500.00 dollars to program and cut just one...total scam. I'm taking them to a locksmith and getting them cut for about 50.00

Works with my 2008 RAV4 Limited
My old key fob died and the buttons did not work. This was a perfect replacement for my car, a 2008 RAV4 Limited. As stated by other commenters, finding someone who is willing to cut your key is the hard part. I also had a hard time finding reputable sources on registering the key to the immobilizer and programming for my car, so I ended up having a local company do mobile service and had them cut and program the key for me. Overall, I'd recommend following this process if you want to avoid paying boatloads of cash to your car dealership.

1 outta 2 still beats dealership
Programming instructions were incorrect but you can find instructional videos online. You must cut blank key before it can be programmed at home. Blades fit into door locks & ignition perfectly. Came with 2 keys. Was only able to program one of the two . Still cheaper than dealership but quality is identical to OEM.

Do not cut with auto cut machines
Went to get these cut today, first had an off the shelf blank cut to verify match, worked perfectly, started the car and drove home with it. Had one of these keys cut right after and it only cut one side, and cut it DEEP (see picture). The other side was barely touched. I did a close exam and found the reason is that the center groove is too wide, and the raised portion is slightly small than the OEM key so when the key was run through it appears it pushed the key too far to one side causing it to be miscut. I didn't try the second key after seeing what happened and will look for a place that has a manual key cutter so it can be properly aligned. In the meantime will look for an empty shell blank and hope that it has the correct sized grooves. On thing I also noticed is that it is difficult to insert into the lock.

Pros and cons
I tried and tried to program the fob per the sites i had received in the package. One of the fobs failed over & over. But the second pair after some trials worked. However, for some reason to remotely open all doors ( not just the driver's door) its a challenge even when i double click to unlock. Note: i have had tmy remote fobs from the manufactory for many years, so it's not like i am knew. After i programmed it, i took the fob with the key to my toyota dealer to cut (create) the key for my car. They charged me only $10. Had they had to program it they would have charged it $200. Then if i had bought the fob from the dealer, it would have cost $250. So i came ahead, only if both fobs would have worked & i didnt spend too much time for programming it.
