Great and inexpensive secondary outdoor light
One of the lights by a side door at our home is on a switch located in the garage, meaning every time we want to turn the light on or off, we need to go out in the un-heated garage to do so.This motion sensing light is cheap (much less expensive than anything I could find at the hardware store), it looks good (note that the glass is clear--so don't buy an ugly bulb for it, unless it's out of sight or you don't care about the appearance), and it works well.** Motion Sensing and Dayight Sensor **I wanted a motion sensor so it would only turn on when I opened the side door, and the motion sensor works very well on either the high or medium setting. The 'low' setting is not very sensitive at all; you need to be within a few feet of the light to get it to turn on.The bottom of the base (against the wall) has a light sensor that disables the light when it's bright outside.** Installation **The light was pretty easy to install; just a white, black, and ground wire. It comes with a convenient (and sturdy) metal mounting bracket that can be mounted to just about any electrical box, and it comes with two screws, and three small wire nuts that work fine for 12-16 ga. wire. The wire ends are stranded (like most light fixtures these days).Make sure you mount the circular mounting plate with the wires from the wall through the middle, and with the two long screws level horizontally.** Conclusion **I love this light, and hope it will last at least 5-10 years, maybe longer. I fear it will start rusting, or one of the glass panes will shatter at some point, though, since it's built pretty cheaply. At least it's made with real metal and real glass!

Good looking, easy to install, works great!
Bought these to replace the tired old rusty lights that were on the house we bought. Motion sensing energy star lights were exactly what we were looking for having for those late nights. Took me about 20 minutes to replace both of our old lights with these and put in CFL bulbs. Our bulbs fit just fine and don't hang out, just buy the latest generation of the CFLs. They look great and are solid in their construction, definitely a bargain at this price compared to what we were finding at Home Depot and Lowe's. Very happy with the purchase and would recommend them.

It was very easy to install and I love the dusk to dawn ...
I purchased this light to replace an old fixture. It was very easy to install and I love the dusk to dawn feature. I installed the light onto the garage and I leave the switch on so when I come home in the evening the motion detector will automatically turn on and provide light for entry into the house. There are different settings for the motion detector you can set it to be highly sensitive where the light will come on if a fly gets too close or lower the sensitivity of the motion detector. Also, there is a test mode or you can just have the light operated by switch without the motion detector. It is a versatile fixture, very beautiful and a great price. Many of the fixtures I looked at in the stores started at about $60 and up for the motion detector feature and and were more expensive ($100 and up) for the dusk to dawn feature and motion detector included. This is a great by for what you receive.

cheap sensors
Gave it one star cause it doesn't allow less then that. On the plus side the cost is low and it is useful as a manual porch lamp switch operated. Sensor operation is erratic at best and downright weird other times. It will shut off after a few seconds sometimes regardless of time setting and other times stay on all night. After two weeks screwing with it trying to find the happy medium it likes, it now wants to operate via sensor during the day and yes even tho I live in Puget Sound we get enough daylight to shut off a decent sensor. Would have sent it back but I can use a manual porch light in another location so will keep this and shop locally for a better one. Note also range of view seems to be limited to approx 8 ft. to either side and 6 ft. directly forward. I have a 40 year old sensor light with much greater range and ease of operation. Keep looking folks.-------March 16, 2013 Had to update this as since the original post I bought another Porch Light (yes it was Heath/Zenith as well--seems no one else makes them for low cost installations) which had 180 deg. range of motion, installed in spot this one was and moved this one to an out building. It now works excellent, just as advertised. Picks up motion from at least 30 ft. front on and side as well and shuts off during the day as it is supposed to. Changed nothing on the settings other then to turn the sensor to the side I would approach from. Have no idea why it didn't work well on original spot but it is perfect where it is now. 2nd light was almost identical in looks, $49.95, at Lowes, 180 deg. motion and it works perfect as well. Other then the labour in moving it, I'm not out anything so moved rating to 3 stars. Hope this helps you.

Great light for the money
The light was just what I was looking for, the design is nice. The motion sensor works very well. It allows for different settings dusk till dawn or time limits where the light turns off after 5 or 10 minutes. It also has sensitivity adjustments which help keep it from turning on all night long. The fixture is smaller than I expected however it is exactly what I wanted. It fits perfectly where I placed it. If your looking for a fixture that has some size to it this is not it. The design is very nice it looks kind of rustic.

Motion Sensor Defective
Decent looking light. Easy enough to install. Motion sensor worked at first. Within a few days light began to “CYCLE ON AND OFF” every minute or so. Since we are new to an HOA and didn’t want it to be noticed, this was tough. It kept flashing on and off regardless of motion. It worked as a normal light on TEST mode, but that defeats the purpose of the motion sensor.Initiating a return. Wasted time. Buy something else.
