Very nice wire. Works well on prototyping boards. A great assortment of colors and adding larger quantities of red and black is a welcome touch.

Pros: Ample amount of wire for amateur DIY small electronics projects.Great quality insulation, rather thick for such a small core.Different colors is a huge bonus.The Red and Black wires are longer than the other colors.Cons: None

This is solid-core (not stranded) 24-gauge wire. I bought it for breadboarding but unfortunately it doesn't hold in place in the sockets as firmly as 22-gauge does - it sometimes works loose. However for general hookup or soldering purposes where you want a solid wire, it's great. Lots of nice colors are included in the pack. The black and red is twice the length of the other colors.

I bought this wire after finding out that the 22-gauge hookup wire I bought from a Radio Shack closing closeout sale would not fit in the breadboards I have that are 20+ years old. I never had a problem in the past because I used standard solid-core telephone wire that worked perfectly in the old boards. It turns out that old standard telephone wire is 24-gauge! Well, to test this, I bought some of this wire. It fits PERFECTLY in my old breadboards. I also bought some new breadboards, and the 22-gauge wire works perfectly in those. The kicker is that the 24-gauge ALSO works perfectly. Therefore, I do not believe anymore that "cheap" breadboards are defective. I believe instead that some breadboards are intended for 24-gauge wire, and some for 22-gauge. I will simply buy 24-gauge wire for all my breadboards from now on.

I give it 3 stars, would be great if the yellow and white was more distinguished in color and the same can be said of the Red and orange wire's. those wire colors are very hard to distinguish in any light, otherwise no problems with the wire itself or the price!

I do a lot of breadboard work and having many colors of wire helps me to keep my circuitry straight. I don't have a ton of room, though, so I didn't want ten different large spools of wire.This bundle of colors basically mirrors the wire colors available in Fritzing, which means my on-screen designs can transfer straight to the breadboard with very little hassle.
