I spent dismal effort getting it launched and it stayed in the air over an hour until I reeled it in. Wind was 10-15 mph but started gusting to about 20, making it virtually uncontrollable if you're 110 lbs. This is not a 5 mph wind kite... more like 10+. Don't omit the tail and then wonder why you can't get it airborne. Tail necessary for stable flight. I switched tails with another of my kites and the two together danced in perfect harmony. Therefore, if you do not have your own matching tail, I recommend slicing the included tail verically into thirds, for increased wind sheer. Best kite I've ever had. Flies easily, launches easily, stays in flight until you reel it in, lights are really bright and stayed lit the whole hour it flew. Takes 2 CR2032 batteries that aren't weighing it down.
