Good value, works as well as the next spawning location.Also try large hollow teddy bear cholla wood as a spawning location. Place it vertically in the tank so ultimately the hole is like a tunnel that goes to a dead end. I use both wood & ceramic.1) Diet (algae wafers, blanched zucchini and string beans)2) water quality (clean, slightly acidic)3) environment (No tank mates & many live plants, which will automatically keep the water slightly acidic)are most important.I have a little over 80 baby albino bristle nose Pleco‘s and this has been my experience. Once they start, they spawn approximately once a month, usually right after a water change.

This item is a lot smaller than I expected. The pictures make it look huge and it’s not. I didn’t look at the measurements obviously. It is more of a hard plastic, not ceramic!

This is a good one, but I wish I could find one ever bigger one for my Trinidad Pleco. He's like 10". But for my Yoyo loach and smaller pleco.

my plecos ignored this, yet I gave it to a freind and his love it. I give it 4 stars because the material is very nice, it simply didn't work for dwarf plecos.Larger than you think. It's only for big tanks.

My Pleco went in to hide and could not get out. It is a dead end, so to exit, Pleco needs to turn around, which he cannot, and he dies from injuries sustained from trying. Caves need to swim through in design so that they can exit. This cost the life of an excellent specimen.

It works the fish like it

This was advertised as an XL plecostomus hiding log but it’s really more medium. Otherwise looks great, just much smaller than expected.
