This sunscreen is amazing. I have extremely sensitive skin and am allergic to every other sunscreen I have tried including Aveeno's Sensitive Skin sunscreen. Badger's sunscreen drew me as it lists it only has 5 organic ingredients. Additionally, Badger's website has an incredible complete guide explaining what every sunscreen they use has (this was helpful when I was looking at buying their Rosehip Facial Sunscreen which has more than 5 ingredients - I wanted to know what they all were meant for and Badger's online guide explained what everything was to me). I was originally deterred from this sunscreen as some of the reviews said they burned very badly despite wearing it. But I was going on a work trip to South East Asia and would be under the sun a lot for a week and a half and knew I needed to find a sunscreen that worked. So I ordered this and the Badger Rosehip Facial Sunscreen and used it often underneath rash guards or under a loose cardigan and always while wearing to fend off most of the sun. It is very hard to spread, that is true of a lot of the reviewer's input. But I mixed it in my palm with my lotion and that made it a lot easier to spread. And it worked so well! My skin didn't react to the sun or the sunscreen at all. Most sunscreens cause my skin to break out in rashes but this one didn't and I didn't burn or anything. i would absolute recommend for anyone with sensitive skin who has problems with traditional sunscreens.

NO SCENT for real. I have a sensitive nose but this has no smell.It is a bit greasy feeling but also smears on easily and has great coverage. I can smear on to look like I'm not wearing sunblock (ok, only very slightly ghostly, but it is non-nano zinc. Research anywhere and you'll find this takes any SPF down to like 2%) or wear thick to really block the sun as I have sun and chemical sensitivity due to taking too many NSAIDs for too long. Because of this, I got an incredibly itchy rash all over my face and now my skin is SUPER sensitive so it was wonderful not to have to rub very much to cover my face as any touching the rash would set it off let alone rubbing. Fewer ingredients to worry about causing my skin issues. My rash is now gone (meds and steroid ointments as well as sunblock) but will continue to wear to keep from having any other issues including cancer!If you do smear your sunscreens down to look like your not wearing any I'd suggest this because at least maybe you'll end up with 3-4% SPF which is better than 0%! (not exact, I didn't do any scientific studies!) I do wish someone would have explained skin aging to me when I was young.

I'm going to go ahead and give this 4 stars. I will tell you it worked like a charm and I never burnt and I felt like I wasn't hurting the reefs or invading people's space with spray sun screen, however there was so much zinc o looked like a pasty ghost! It's so thick it hardly rubs in except my face, which blended in just fine. It was very thick and a little went a long way. If I wiped my body down with a towel it was okay but that seems to defeat the purpose. The kids would have nothing to do with it, at all. Thankfully we had a back up for them to use that wasn't ghostly. I will still use it for intense sun activities but it won't be my first choice. Hopefully they have a lower zinc sunscreen from this company. I liked it enough to try again.

This is the only sunscreen I will use on myself and my red headed grandson. No chemicals get into his body and he is not breathing them in as he would with a spray. It is not easy to apply - kind of like tooth paste and white unless it is well rubbed in, but that is the nature of any zinc product. It is worth the effort to get good sun protection without the nasty chemicals. I like that it is natural ingredients and has no unpleasant smell. BEST of all .it is the only sunscreen I have used in over 50 years that does not sting eyes. Even the "baby" screens I have tried were very painful in eyes. This one has never been a problem. I won't use anything else.

Excellent sunscreen. All safe ingredients! I use this product on my baby and on myself and have never burned. We both have very sensitive skin and it has never caused any type of irritation. I put 5/5 on “easy to spread“ because as far as SAFE MINERAL SUNSCREEN goes, this is as easy as it will come. Sit it out in the sun for about 10 minutes and it will go on much easier too.

This provides excellent sun protection, and it stays on extremely well in water. It is also not really more expensive, because you need to use far less than the typical chemical sunscreens.However, it has the consistency of toothpaste, and requires a bit more effort to apply and rub in. It also leaves a very light white "sheen" on your skin, but that is because the ingredient does not enter your skin like chemical sunscreens.Overall I really like this product. Definitely recommended.

I searched for ratings for sunscreen brands online. I went to a respectable, trustworthy site which rated it a safe for the environment and safe for human use (meaning no harsh chemicals). My wife and I applied according to directions. Went on thick and we made sure to cover all surfaces appropriately. We didnt mind the whitish mark it left on our skin, thinking better to stay on. We then tested it against the Central American sun. We reapplied every hour and let dry. After the second day, I got a pretty dark tan (I was not going for this look.) I later got sun poisoning (I'm in health care and was fine after a nights rest and medication). My wife suffered it as well 2 days later. The product seemed to stay on and bead on our skin but the protection did not seem there. Not sure if it was due to the fact we were very close to the equator. I would probably search for another brand and type next time.
