Great price

Good price and shipped quickly. 4 stars since it looks oem but only a decent lifespan will earn the 5th star.Oil Service wanted $140 for same part! I can understand charging msrp or a small markup but more than 3x-4x is outrageous so I decided to swap the solenoid and primary control myself. My oil burner began to cycle once normally then blink and not run again until pressing the reset button. Previously this was just a blocked fuel line but when the service tech cleared the lines, replaced filters, etc the problem persisted. At this point they were pretty much guessing what the problem was but after being charged 4x cost for an overflow valve and an expansion tank (both were clearly leaky/bad) I had decided I was done with them.My experience with solenoids / coils is that they typically either work or don't work, not much in between, so I really doubted replacing this part would fix my issue but it did. I haven't cut the orig part open yet but my guess is that it either has some internal oxidation or the issue was with the plug in connection. I don't wish to reinstall the orig part to see if it really was just a connection or not but if you experience similar issues try removing and reinstalling the solenoid, it is very simple. (always be sure to power off the unit!)CAUTION: if your boiler is going into a "hard lockout" you do not want to clear the lockout and try to have it fire up unless you are sure it is NOT injecting fuel during the failed start up attempts or you could go kablooey! This is just one reason why you should probably start with a trained tech. And while I have some related experience I would have let them do all the work until I saw them gouging me on parts.I mentioned that I also picked up a new primary control but haven't installed it yet. My orig is a 25 yr old Beckett (rebrand) with a very basic design by todays standards. The new one, the CARLIN 70200 ProMaxx which I also picked up from Amazon at a good price, has all kinds of helpful info on its 2 line display and is compatible with my boiler. I'm hoping that it will provide helpful info up front the next time my boiler has an issue.FYI: Here is some info regarding similar Suntec coils/solenoids.
