Don't waste your money on plastic junk, or even brass junk you have to over-tighten from the hardware or big box stores. Buy John Guest: Inexpensive, reliable, no leaks. I won't use any other brand; John Guest products simply work.

Works just like advertised

Not sure how these work but it is amazing. Used with nice 1/4 HDPE tube rather than polyethelyne. Worked.

Use these little guys for drip irrigation and small grow boxes that need frequent disconnections.

Works for plastic. Mine leaked when hooked to copper.
