Will not work out of the box on a Raspberry Pi running Linux
Here is the deal- I was looking for an inexpensive Wi Dongle that would simply plug and play in a Raspberry Pi computer running LINUX. In theory, this dongle should work, and there may be a way to technically make it work, but my experience was that I spent 6+ hours online googling and looking at forums to try and get this to work. I failed to do so.<SIGH>This may be because of my inexperience with finding and loading drivers in LINUX. I tried. I really did. One of the most frustrating experiences of my life. So my 2 star rating is in that context only. This may work great with Windows or Mac PCs. It did not work for what I needed it for. That is all.

BUYER BEWARE: WRONG CHIPSET. INCOMPATIBLE WITH RASPIAN
I bought this for the Raspberry Pi because a 5370 chipset is compatible. Once it arrived, I found out it was actually a 7601 Chipset which is not natively compatible. this is a frequent issue for Pi users as the official forums show. http://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=49864I got a refund. As far as I can tell, it will still work other computers.

Really Good!
Pretty hard to believe that something so small could possibly work so good! Thes littgle gems get as good or better signal than the built in laptop adapters. I highly reccommend this after having more than 10 of them on various computers and other devices including Android.

Cheap, breaks easy, but hey-- low cost.
Works as cheap disposable usb wifi, but after inserting and removing from laptop just 2-3 times the black cover you grab and its metal circuit board cover (what you see in the photot) comes off. This happened for several of these. But for the cost, cheap, if you just need cheap temporary wifi.

These work fine. However
These work fine. However, the chipset is not supported in Raspbian which means some extra effort for Raspberry Pi users. For out of the box compatibility I'd suggest looking for another device. There are Linux drivers for these devices but its not part of the kernel. To use it you need to compile and install it yourself.

Works flawless in a Dell laptop and an unbranded desktop computer. The range is ok. The only thing is that gets very hot in short time. I am using an extension to avoid the heat in the USB port.

False advertising
This was advertised as being compatible with older operating systems, specifically Windows 2000, but when trying to install the drivers an error message is displayed, indicating that the drivers are not compatible with the OS. Looks like false advertising to me.Don't ask why I'm using ancient software/hardware. It's required for this particular system.
