Works as advertised, extremely strong magnet and very flexible rod that stays in the shape / direction that you put it. Be aware that the rod is solid pliable metal, as such if repeated opposing bends are made in the exact same spot the metal in this spot is going to become weak and eventually break. The handle itself is large enough to get a good grip on for precise maneuvering, while having a soft rubber coating that helps stay grippy with oily fingers / gloves.Be advised that the head of the tool is quite large and is not going to fit into tiny slots. There is a collar around that head that can be screwed off to slim it down a bit but this then exposes all sides of the magnet that might cause it to grab onto something you aren't trying to get. This is still a fine feature and not worth knocking off a star as the magnet would be much weaker if it were smaller.

The flexible shaft, which may be aluminum is solid but may or not survive too many bendings. But at this time I'm not sure because I've only used it a couple times. It works decent though.

I’ve had this magnet for a year now. I’m a automotive technician. I’ve dropped bolts, nuts, sockets, even heavy wrenches and this magnet still picks it up! It’s very bendable and also strong magnetic pull. I can bend it and the curve I put in it won’t bend back unless I do it myself, which is great (no readjustment needed in tight corners). It hasn’t rusted and it’s very easy to clean off. I’ve used brake clean and it doesn’t effect the outer part of it at all.
