This set is so well-made, like the other stainless Hatrigo products I own. Heavy-duty, polished stainless steel.The bottom pot is much larger than other PiP sets, this holds more volume, much better shaped (it is tall as opposed to short and wide) which is a better shape and size for more liquids, soups, stews, beans, etc.The top pot is smaller and fits perfectly in the large pot, which is great for vegs, side dishes, reheating leftovers, 5 of the mini mold cups and more. It has a fold-down handle. A bonus, the push cake pan fits down in the bottom pot so I can stack it and 7 mini mold cups in my 8 quart IP!! I have used the individual posts separately and together and they work really well and are a breeze to clean up.The lid is wonderful! No more fiddling with those cumbersome locking handles. The lid lifts on and off with a knob (yay!). I highly recommend this PiP set.

I love this pot! I am very partial to Hartrigo because of the quality of their products. I have just begun cooking with an Instant Pot, heard about their products and joined their facebook page. I've had this pot for a few months and finally used it a few times recently to make steel oats casseroles. The size was perfect for me!...my only complaint was that I wish the capacity of both pots was etched on the bottom, as I had to fill them up with water to be sure my recipe size was ok. The cleanup was no hassle, super easy. The handle, after letting the pressure naturally release, was ok for me to touch and pull out the pot no problem. There is enough room around the handle in my 6 quart IP to get to it easily without any tools needed. What surprised me the most was how water dissipated from it's surface...I filled the pots with water to get their sizes. I then needed the inside to be dry, so I got out my kitchen towel but did not need it - in just a minute or two the inside was dry - I've never seen anything like it. The same after washing, just a super quick drying occurred! Easy cleaning - I used coconut oil cooking spray on them and clean up was the easiest ever. The pots are well made, sturdy, feel very substantial (if you know what I mean), easy to handle, and I am looking forward to using them as often as I can...and never would I have thought that I would ever get this excited about cooking pots.

08/21/19 Update: After seeing my review, Hatrigo contacted me; we messaged on their Facebook site. They shared a video that helped me determine there was definitely a problem with the Hatrigo Multi-Purpose Deep Bowl Stackable Steamer Insert Pans. They immediately sent out a new set that works perfectly. I'm so pleased with this company and their willingness to help resolve any problems with their products.Yesterday, in the larger bowl, I made delayed-start steel cut oats in my Instant Pot. It turned out great! Now, on to using both pots in the pressure cooker at the same time. So glad the sliding smaller pot problem is resolved. Thank you, Hatrigo, for helping me! It's a pleasure to purchase from a company that stands by their products, which seem very well made, by the way.08/06/19 Original Review: Smaller Pot Doesn't Fit Properly -- Too Small in Diameter. I was excited to get this product. The outer pot w/lid is deep and has many functions I planned to use it for. It has a rim to hold the smaller pot above the food in the bottom of the larger pot. Unfortunately, the smaller pot's diameter is too small, slides past the designated rim and falls down to crush anything below it. It appears the pots were not designed with the proper diameter to work as per photos and details. Too bad, as this would have met my needs. I can still use the larger pot and lid but why pay for a two PIP product and only get one?

Absolutely love this pot - except the lid.The pot itself and the lid are made of 304 Stainless Steel, a food grade product, that is impeccable in it's quality, as well as known for it's easy clean up. I have used this pot many, many times, and am very impressed with the quality. I love that the pot is deeper than most pot-in-pot (PIP) items on the market, so you can use just the large pot, or both pots to make your tasty goodies in your inner liner. I really enjoy PIP cooking as I can make smaller amounts, make a main dish and a side, or two items at once, and it doesn't get the inner liner dirty - which can be heavy and a hassle to clean. Doing PIP cooking gives your IP so much more versatility!! This particular product is most definitely a game changer, and I would highly recommend it.....I just wish the screw in the lid was made from 304 Stainless Steel as well. The screw in the lid is my only issue with this product. Unfortunately, the screw is made of sub-standard material and it has rusted, rendering the lid useless.Fortunately, the seller has made good on the issues I've had with this product. I will likely order another of this particular product - especially if they come out with a 3-quart, 8-quart or 10-quart version for my Instant Pots that aren't 6-quart. It's a handy and very useful accessory!! I will just have to go to my local Fastenal and get a 304 Stainless Steel screw for the lid.

Unique pot in pot design with a larger pot and a smaller insert that makes the system far more versatile than the standard stacking design. The larger pot can be used alone for larger quantities of grains or sauces or things that are likely to burn when cooked directly in the Instant Pot liner or as a stacking system with the smaller pot inserted to do, for example, beans in the lower it with rice in the insert. Nice heavyweight stainless steel which cleans up easily in the dishwasher. Love the handle which makes it easy to remove the larger pot and the bail handles on the inner pot which make getting that out easy. As an added benefit, the inner pot fits the 3 qt Instant Pot, making this a very versatile system.

Seems very sturdy, nicely fits my 8 quart Instant Pot. I've used the inner basket alone for smaller rice portions for pot-in-pot cooking, and the outer pot for a larger volume food (steel cut oats, beans). Haven't used the two together yet but I anticipate I will soon, they nest together nicely.I was using a pyrex previously for pot in pot cooking but this stainless steel heats up faster.

I like it. I have the 8qt Instant Pot. I don't want to make eight quarts of beans! This pot in a pot holds 2 litres with an inch of head room (I measured).It's substantial enough, and has a mirror like finish. It's so pretty, I won't use an abrasive cleaner that might dull the shine. I use Easy Off and let it soak to remove the dry cooking ring, and wipe it off with a cloth and rinse with water. It has little tiny vent holes in the lid. It has a handle to easily remove it from the hot Instant Pot. I use it whenever I don't need the full capacity of the IP.

This pot performs its role well. I use it every week and have never been disappointed. The things which I use it for most often are cooked grains, cooked pot-in-pot, within my Instant Pot. Oatmeal, setup the night before and set on delay start makes for a great hot breakfast. Rice always comes out well when done in this method. The other use case I have found is where a meal wouldn’t have enough liquid in it to bring the Instant Pot up to pressure, in these cases I put a cup of water in the Instant Pot liner and all of the ingredients in this pot. It takes a little longer to cook the meal but the Instant Pot easily comes up to pressure and you never get a burn warning.A good product that I would buy again in a heartbeat.

I have an 8 qt IP, and the larger of the pot in pot was the size I was perfect for making yogurt. I do this via hot water bath without using a rack. I originally intended to use these pots for making oatmeal or smaller dishes but got sidetracked as the weather has warmed up.The workmanship seems good and the material sturdy, yet not heavy duty. The handle (a little stiff to move) does make it easier to remove from the IP, and the lid with steam holes is handy. I have left yogurt in the pot for a whole day, but then I wash and dry immediately. Haven’t had any real issue with this product to date.

Love this pot set. This 6 Qt stackable pot is the perfect size for 2-3 servings when you don't want to cook a full family meal in the instapot. It is such a nice shiny pot that I have used it on my table as a serving dish then put leftovers in the refrigerator. It is a perfect fit for my 6 Qt Instapot Duo.
