I used this in an Arduino project, making a talking dog button board. If you are looking for a volume knob for these, it looks like this is course thread. I found these knobs work great : 4 Abalone Ring Black Les Paul Custom Control Speed Dial Knobs (Top Hat Clear Black) by Dinatone.

Good, for what it is
I inherited one of those inexpensive record players. It was damaged because they hooked up the wrong power supply and fried the existing board. I used this board to replace the amplifier, and it worked. I'm surprised honestly by how well it actually works. We're talking 3 watt speakers, so it's only for personal listening but it worked out and made the record player at least able to play records again.

Great for projects needing a moderate audio output
Excellent compact amplifier module for small projects. Used one of these with speakers to boost the sound from my PC. Minimal distortion, although a bit weak on the bass signals; not surprising for such a low-power package. Great for projects needing a moderate audio output. Simple to use.

Not standard pin spacing!!!!!
Buyer beware - the pin spacing on these is not the standard 0.1 inch. Spacing between pins at each end should be 1.0 inches but it's more like 0.95. Didn't realize until I had soldered in pins so they cannot be returned. This is a real fooler.

Loud with the right speaker.
Loud when used with Make Hawk Arduino Speaker 3 Watt 8 Ohm Single Cavity Mini Speaker. Used with the talkie library for voice on a arduino uno project, talking thermometer.
