So far so good!
Beautiful book to look at! The whole back book is based off of the basic spongecake recipes (2,4,6 eggs recipes) in the front of the book.. That being said- it would’ve sucked bad if the basic recipes were not good. That was not the case here.. I used the 6-eggs recipe & the cake was delish! First & only cake I’ve made so far is delicious! It’s the Pistacio Cake that’s featured on the front cover! Love that the cake is not too sweet cause we all know we eat a tad too much sugar already!

Amazing recipes and great photos!
I received my book in Brasil before the date. Its a Amazing book, great recipes and stunning photos. You can just read, or you can make this book like a school, with a lot of history behind the recipes. Loved. Mimi.

Nice book with good recipes but my idea of a naked cake was pictured on the front cover - the book has many cakes that are just cakes - only naked as do not have any icing. A fun book but disappointed as not what I was expecting. I would title it 'cakes'.

Why did I wait so long to buy this? At some point I hope they clarify some things in the recipes. For instance, the cake on the cover could use some recipe detail beyond unshelled pistachios. They really should indicate salted or not. I opted for roasted, unsalted and found them at Trader Joe's. Additionally, self rising flour in the U.K. does not have added salt, but in the states it has salt. For best results I opted to make my own self rising flour without the salt. It's easy and its closer to what she's using. When she writes to prepare your cake pans, I think a little more info is needed. Does she line the bottom and sides or just the bottom? I'd like to see a basic techniques section. Different cakes do better with different pan lining. I'd prefer not to guess. To me, when you're exposing the sides of the cake layers (naked) it's nice to know the best way to get her result.I'm giving 5 stars because there isn't any recipe I don't want to try. I really appreciate she includes U.S. measurement equvilants.

it showed some amazing and really pretty cakes that i am sure to make soon. if you are a baker this is the book for you. i wanted to try naked cakes forever and when i got this cook book i started to make all of them.

My daughter loves to bake and just adores the recipes in this book! Gorgeous photos and easy to follow instructions with delicious results! The edible flowers are fun to make and use.

EXCELLENT!!
EXCELLENT!!! The cake pictures are BEAUTIFUL!!! I have yet to try any of the recipes but have read the ingredients on several I wish to bake.I am excited to try very soon.
