Liquidator-2 Tank Level Gauge

I might have expected this to sell for more like $99 and less like $239 - but there is some clever engineering here and I don't mind paying for what is probably a pretty low volume product.This thing took me an hour to install, and works perfectly. That is the bottom line. A float in the tank, a counter weight in the 2" tube that is tank height, and an indicator hanging down along the tube - that is all that there is to it. You provide the tube - I used 2" schedule 40 PVC conduit that I painted to match my tank.Best of all, it only requires a 1/2" hole in the top of the tank, and it creates no possibility for leaking.I will buy three more - I am a fan.

I used galvanized steel conduit for my install on my steel 10' water tank. Product was easy to install, looks clean, works well, and can be easily seen from a decent distance. I added silicone sealant around where the body of the gauge meets the conduit, leaving a space for the cord to travel through, to minimize dust and insect intrusion as well as to stabilize the mating point to minimize conduit movement. Some dry lube sprayed on the conduit can help to ensure smooth operation. Would recommend to a friend.

This is a well engineered and well constructed product. Easy to install on my 2,600 gallon poly water tank and it works perfectly. I used IMC conduit for the riser pipe. It looks great and I do not have to worry about it warping or degrading like PVC conduit. I also used the optional brass pulleys and stainless steel wire.Another reviewer suggested that the float be filled with water only half-way. I disagree. I filled the float full (per the instructions) with good results. The weight of the water in the float is necessary to drive the counterweight.

Too stinking expensive for what it is! But it works

I live in SE Alaska in a location where our only source of water is what is collected from rain water run off of our roof into a 5000 gallon tank. Prior to installing this device I had to use a ladder to climb up on the tank, remove the lid, and look in or I had to bang on the side of the tank and feel and listen for the water level. This device was easy to install and works very well. It expensive for what you actually get, but the concept is great, and absent a competitor to cause the company to be reduce to price I would buy it again.

I asked my well guy about some gauge on our water tank and did not offer any real suggestions. Anyways found this on the internet and it was exactly what I was looking for. It is affordable and easy to install. Only issue I had was putting water into the float (fill only half full) and instructions need to be a little clearer on this and maybe a video. Anyways great simple product!!

So far so good. I can see from my back window the level of my rainwater collection tank. Looks very professional
