I was going to give this 4 stars because of the sub-standard saw blade, but I never intended to use the saw blade when I ordered this. I have a huge bush/plant growing on the slope just outside my patio wall. It can grow a foot taller per month and blocks the view. The only way to cut it back is from the patio and it requires a full 12 foot reach to remove all the new growth. The light weight of this unit makes it ideal for this job. I am 75 years old and not a large person and I can hold this fully extended pruner horizontally for 30-40 minutes to complete the task without needing to visit the Chiropractor. The blades are extremely sharp. The construction seems to be quite good, but likely would not work well fully extended with any saw blade attached. For what I use it for, I love it.

this thing does not cut stalks or branches the diameter it claims. works ok on green stalks. but only cuts the tiniest of anything that is wood--including let year's wisteria, which is what i purchased it for.

We do like this picker because it does give extra distance and after 6 months it is still working. But one time we dropped it and the handle cracked. The handle is supposed to be made out of metal but it seems to be made out of a very cheap metal. For $60 compared to the normal $130 it is a good deal but we still wish that they would have used better materials.

The day this arrived a small maple had fallen into the top of a flowering tree. I was excited to put it to use but it did not cut anything and the saw was so flexible it would be like filing your nails with a piece of tin foil. Before I blasted a negative review I decided to read more to find out why this product has such high reviews. One person mentioned it does not cut wood or dry branches so I took it back out and started cutting away at green twigs and small branches. As a smaller woman I found it to be light weight and easy to use even standing 10' feet under the pruner. I have not had to use the full length yet and I'm only 5'2". It cuts up to about 1/4" diameter with very little problems. I learned that I could cut into a 1/2 inch branch, squeeze the trigger, then bend the branch until it would break. The pruner could cut through the rest of the fibrous branch material. I used the pruner to grab and pull down larger branches so I could hold it by hand and still manage to prune the smaller offshoot branches off the main larger branch. The telescoping features were so easy to use and it was handy to have all different length options with me no matter where I went on the property. The trigger is not foam covered but I was able to trim a large pile of branches without wearing gloves. For the price this is an excellent product but if you need a tool with a pole saw this is not it. The saw is so thin that it flexes so much it is dangerous. You will not be able to get a back-and-forth sawing motion. The best you can hope for is to get a notch started, then continually put the saw in the notch and pull toward you...over and over. I could not find a better saw blade that would fit the design of the attachment. If this had a "real" saw blade I would give it 5 stars. Instead I will keep it for light weight high pruning only.

I just received this item today and I am very impressed so far. The front and back were properly protected with bubble wrap. The item is light weight and easy to operate. The mechanism for cutting and grabbing except the actual blade are not exposed. It’s a very slick design.

What can I say. This pruner pole saw rocks. Excellent design, manufacturing, and Customer Supports (better than Amazon). It prunes and can hold onto the cuttings for handling. If there is anything I have to make a suggestion on, the tool is not light and one might want to take a break every 10 min. I would also suggest the seller to ask Amazon Fulfillment to secure the saw blade because they were missing in two shipments.

The blade is flimsy and cutter might cut anything 1/8 inch dia. Made well but function is worthless.
