A gentle giant with a heart of gold finally stops being a love underdog in this hilarious romantic comedy! Takeo Goda is a giant guy with a giant heart. Too bad the girls don’t want him! (They want his good-looking best friend, Sunakawa.) Used to being on the sidelines, Takeo simply stands tall and accepts his fate. But one day when he saves a girl named Yamato from a harasser on the train, his (love!) life suddenly takes an incredible turn! Sunakawa’s older sister, Ai, has had a secret crush on Takeo since she was little. But Hayato Oda, her college classmate, is making some aggressive romantic advances. Can Ai sever her feelings for Takeo and accept Oda’s feelings? Meanwhile, a girl other than Yamato has realized Takeo’s appeal…! A bonus story about Takeo and Sunakawa when they were in preschool is included in this volume! Review: So good - This one is better than the last one great story. Can't wait too I read the next book I'm so in love with them Review: in good condition! A great story - Got it on time, in good condition! A great story, both funny and heartwarming. Highly recommended!

This volume really shaped up to be something I wasn't expecting!
It's interesting reading this series and it being from the perspective of a guy because sometimes I think girls can worry too much (including myself because I *definitely* know I do LOL). I would say this statement is more about the second half than the first because seeing Yamato's worries/concerns when this wannabe love rival comes on page, Yamato is worried but she really doesn't NEED to be. The happiness that shines on Takeo's face every time he sees or hears from Yamato is like nothing else when to compared to how he interacts with other people, and this new girl truly doesn't stand a chance. Time and time again, we see from Takeo's internal dialogue that he DEEPLY loves Yamato and only has eyes for her. I think Yamato may know this to some degree, but I think her fears are blinding out that "truth" so it's harder for her to really know/remember that. I 100% get it though! When your fears start making you worry, it's hard to see what's in front of you, but if she could just see through those worries, then she would really know that she has nothing to worry about and those fears would evaporate. Maybe I didn't word that well, but as a result of what I shared above, I found Yamato really relatable in this volume. I also admired Takeo all the more because he is such a great guy who has a HUGE heart for helping others and being there for them, but his heart is even bigger for Yamato and his love for her. We see that really shine throughout these chapters and hope everything will be cleared up for Yamato in the next one. <3 I won't sound like a broken record, but I continue to love love love Suna, especially with his expressions! He really just gets thrown into these situations and just goes along with it without complaint. He's amazing! One thing that was interesting in this volume is seeing how popular Takeo REALLY is. I guess because Takeo has always been so adamant that he is NOT popular, I just sort of felt he wasn't. (That sounds rude, but I don't mean it that way!) Sunakawa is the one who is popular because Takeo reminds the reader of that often, but it's nice seeing that change of perspective with this volume in that Takeo is popular too (just maybe a little different than Suna is). Now if that one girl could kindly leave, then things would be even better...

Very good
~4/5 While this volume didn’t grab me as much as the previous ones have, it’s still adorable. No matter what this series does, the characters are what’s driving it. The way Takeo and Yamato react to things and think is what drives every reaction. The first half of the volume, we get to see a lot of Ai, Sunakawa’s older sister, and a friend of hers who’s in love with her. We see more of what Ai is going through, being in love with Takeo and not wanting to tell him, all while another guy is pushing her, wanting to be with her in the same way. I like Ai, and I like her decision in the end, though I feel for the guy, as well. The second half, we meet a classmate of Takeo’s. They have to work together, and then she gets to know him, and he helps her out at every opportunity. Clearly some hero worship, to a big crush, is developing. And this time, Yamato starts catching on and worrying. Yamato is jealous, she has that tendency, and it’s interesting to see her feelings put to the test. All while Takeo is completely oblivious, until she talks to him. But the only thing Takeo is ever thinking of, especially when it comes to Yamato, is Yamato. He has no line of vision for anyone else. It’s sweet. That storyline isn’t fully over, I don’t think, and while there might be drama and worry, I don’t doubt that these two will work it out. The volume ends with a cute side story from when Takeo and Suna are kids, and Takeo helps them out of trouble. Very cute, sweet story. Overall, a very nice volume. I’m loving this series, and am looking forward to the next one. [More of my reviews are available on my blog, Geeky Reading, to which there's a link on my profile.]

This is an adorable manga and such a simple pleasure to read
This is an adorable manga and such a simple pleasure to read. Takeo Goda is a 6'7" giant lovable teddy bear who is rather tongue-tied around girls, even his swooning girlfriend Yamato. This volume has two stories that show us other girls are interested in Takeo, even though he is unaware of it and thinks he is not very popular. The first half has his best friend's sister trying to deal with her feelings that she has always harboured for Takeo while a boy from college has followed her home to try and win her over. The second-half concerns Takeo taking up training a girl in his class to help her prepare for a race in a school sports event which has her falling head over heels for him. Takeo is clueless, but the girl's intentions don't get past Yamato. The story deals with real teen relationship issues, a little overdramatic as we know to expect from shoujo manga, but these characters are good-hearted and kind-natured dealing with their feelings in ways that are unselfish. A feel-good sweet romance.

Bad Batch?
Good series, the problem is the book itself. I just wanted to let people know that there might be a bad batch of book 4 on the market right now specifically. Some months ago I bought book 4 online at Barnes and nobles and when I got around to reading it I realized that one chapter ended abruptly and led into the middle of the next. I ordered another book 4 here on Amazon a week or so ago and it came in today. Again, in another way, the book is mixed up. Some pages from the previous chapter just butt into the middle of the next chapter, and then the chapter like restarts again. The second order I got is at least kind of readable? It’s a little annoying is all and I wanted to let people know.
