Look and sound more expensive!
Delivery took a while and boxes were a mess ( not the sellers fault)but speakers were unharmed. Speakers are absolutely gorgeous. They need power and sound best bi wired,but fed right they sound amazing! Clean, warm and full bodied. I did add a Wharfedale sub as these are not bass heavy and i think all systems benefit from a sub. I would highly recommend these speakers, With or without a sub they sound amazing and are a good value.

Great speakers, but there's something missing
I recently bought the 240s, sound wise they are incredibly good at highs and mids, the exact amount of brightness and naturality that will keep you engaged with your music. But the mid to low base is not that deep and doesn't feel like 40hz as advertised - maybe due to the Amp I'm using? Not sure. The other thing I noticed is that drivers diameter is not as advertised, they are smaller. The woofer for example (pictures) is not 6.5" (that's the opening) it's actually 5".

Great Value Speakers!
These are great speakers. While they don't drop a huge amount of bass, they do perform rather well at the mid and upper ranges. Sound is full and warm, and really opens up once you bi-wire them! Great Value!

These at this price are a great value 3-way design
Just a great speaker for the price they have been around for a while that is why the lower price originally, they sold for twice the price but now Wharfedale has a new lines out and the outlets are getting these out of inventory. They are bass light, but midrange is great and highs nice a clear and sharp. Build quality is top notch they are solid speakers, and their weight proves it they weigh about 60 pounds apiece. The speakers are made of Kevlar, and they are rated at 150 watts. I have them connected to a Yamaha A-S501 which is driving them at 128 watts in to 4 ohms and they don't really start to kick in to about half volume. My opinion is at this price they are a great bargain. Make sure you have an amp or receiver that will accept 4 ohm speakers before purchasing them.
