Good book but its about servers not lighting consoles.
Interesting, I got this book as I had a job coming up where I would be using a media server for a fairly high caliber event but I had not got much experience driving external media servers. This book only has a chapter on control from a lighting console and it boils down to "its just like a moving light" but the book does go on to explore all the mental aspects of media server layout and procedure as well as common methodology. Its more a book about as a lighting programmer your now responsible for the media server at server level rather than sitting behind a console just driving it. Would still recommend.

pics too low res
The book is interesting and does give some insight into other media servers ( I'm mostly a catalyst person ) .It does however lack detail, many screenshots are too low res to read / see what's going on , in a book about resolutions and sizes of content this should have been goy right ( I understand this May be a publisher / kindle issue ... Still it should have been sorted even with hyperlinks to larger pics) . I think the book also could have delved a little deeper by being more specific per server . This book is more autobiographical about an experience with servers than being a how to specifically ..... You might argue read the manual,if you want specifics ... But that's what we are here for quick useful info brought together in one place....
