I have never tasted this product myself, but from the fresh smell and the guinea pigs reaction when we rattle the bag....it's a hit!

The pigs eat this up. They like to pick out all the non-pellets and eat it first, before moving on to the pellets themselves. It gives them a nice healthy balance of treat like snacks, and nutrition and vitamins they need to stay healthy. Also helps them keep a healthy weight, and not blimp out

I bought it ones and this is a great quality product but I think extra stuff (flowers or etc.) are unnecessary - maybe this is just to keep us customers happy and keep on trying new things but their basic "Kaytee Timothy Hay Complete Guinea Pig Food" is good enough. Years ago at one of the check ups, vet told us that the rabbit was gaining weight and it would be a good idea for us to switch off of Alpha Alpha products and with the least extra stuff possible. This (just rabbit kind) is what we switched to and to this day keep on using it. We did the same thing for our Guinea Pig (minus the flowers), she still likes the diet very much and we complement these pellets with once a day fresh veggies, plus, some daily timothy hay.

With fresh veggies and plenty of hay, this completes a balanced meal!
