I don't have reliable, or fast, internet so picking up this basic console worked out really well. For the system, 5 stars. I love Mario Kart, so that's a win-win. Considering the game sells for at least $30, I'd call this a great deal. I knocked off 2 stars because the wiimote does not function properly. I tested a second wiimote and had no issues. The red wiimote that came with the console must have an issue with its sensor, because it jumps all over the screen and disappears frequently. It worked well enough to play some New Super Mario, but when it comes to using the motion sensor? Forget it. Hopefully I can contact the seller and work out a replacement remote. I really don't want to have to pack up the whole system and ship it back or have to purchase a new remote for an additional $30+. Buyers in the market for a Wii - Please note, this system does NOT come with internet connectivity. If you're looking for something small and sweet, this is it. Update - in typical Amazon fashion, my defective wiimote was taken care of. Without having to repackage the system and mail back, too! Upped the star rating from 3 to 5, I now have a perfect working console with new wiimote.
