HP ENVY Photo 7855 All in One Photo Printer (K7R96A) and XL Ink Cartridges - 4 Colors

This is a fine printer for printing documents only, but my $40 printer does just as good. This printer is awful for photos and art prints. It leaves horizontal lines in the print, and the colors are dark and dull. I bought this because of a website recommending it for art prints. Don't trust these sites. As long as they are using Amazon's affiliate program, they will recommend anything just to leave a link and get cash for themselves. Don't buy this printer.

As a teacher, I do a lot of work from home and make a LOT of copies. I am not confined to my office with the wireless printing option. I can print from anywhere in the house or even from outside. Great value for the money.

UPDATE: I called HP Instant Ink to cancel my subscription yesterday. This was after talking with numerous customer service and techs. Couldn’t believe it - Nigel from Canada asked me if I’d be willing to check if the computer could be reset. I groaned! But at least he wasn’t trying to sell me on another HP printer! This guy was AMAZING! It took a while but he had me go through several processes to clear/clean/reset my printer. It now works. The problem? Nigel said it allStemmed on a defective color cartridge. It totally offset my printer.It works wonderfully now.So if you’re having error messages saying there is a prob with your cartridges. Remove it. Then print something. It will print with just one cartridge. Unplug printer for at least a Minute. Plug back into the wall. Maybe that will work. If not, call instant ink number and ask for Nigel in Ontario, Canada. If anyone can help you- he can! I loved this printer, was just frustrated with the customer Service and techs trying to sell me Another printer and being disconnected. So I’m so pleased it’s fixed now. YAY!!When I first bought this printer two years ago - I found it easy to set-up and easy to use. However, I started having problems with it after I had it a year. The warranty had expired, but HP never informed me or gave me options to renew it. Fast forward to two years - I started having error messages about the ink cartridges not being installed correctly, or they were incompatible (I was under HP instant ink plan and the same as always?), etc etc. when I called for assistance, I was forced to go to virtual assistant. You can’t reach tech support without going through VA, but it kept going in cycles, giving me options that didn’t apply to my problem and never giving me a case number - which is a requirement to reach tech support. It’s ridiculous. Agent told me they couldn’t provide any assistance because the warranty had expired. And no, I couldn’t purchase it, even retroactively, to bring it to current warranty. HP has lost me as a customer. Not impressed with the printer, customer service and esp how their menus are set-up, forcing you to go to VA, that doesn’t resolve anything. WE NEED LIVE PEOPLE TO TALK TO!!!! Do not buy an HP printer. I will use the opinion of a store staff member before buying my next printer.

Maybe it is because my old printer was 10 years old, but this thing is Amazing. It does more than I ever expected it to do. Prints and scans multiple media to multiple formats. Even emails it to me so I can forward it on as needed. The graphic interface is a little smaller than I'd like, but this isn't a corporate printer and is more than sufficient.The 'HP Instant Ink' concerned me. But the best option for me, ten pages a month for FREE was sufficient. Go over that limit, it's a $1 for 10 more. So, basically, ink is pretty much free. What's not to like? You print more? Get a higher volume subscription. It's like if you use more ink, you'll buy more ink. You're paying for the ink, really, not the pages.And, set up was a BREEZE.

My only warning is the amount of ink that you can go through but to be able to print this quality pics at home was definitely cool
