American ExchangeBig Boys' Solid Tie

This is the same length as an adult tie, nothing “boys” about it. Looks nice enough for light use, but definitely won’t last long.

We got this tie for my 13yo son. He needs to wear it 3 evenings per month. We bought it in January, and at this point I have had to hand sew most of the stitching that keeps the folds of the tie closed on the back, and had to reattach the tag on the back that also serves to tuck in the back part of the tie when knotted. We don't wash this thankfully, so the stitching coming out appears to come from just typical wear, albeit with a teenage boy (let's face it that they are hard on clothing in general). My husband's more expensive ties have not had these problems at all over years and years of wear. So my recommendation is that this tie looks fine and is very suitable for occasional use, or more heavy use if you are willing to hand stitch things in place as needed. It is not the more durable menswear item I have found, but the price was right for our needs. If you are considering this for very heavy use (uniform for work or such), you might want to pick a different brand/tie. If you need it once or very occasionally, the black one looks and functions fine.

My son wore this tie to church twice and it's falling apart. The seams are torn and the thread is unraveling. Really disappointed since it's so hard to find ties in person anymore. 😞

This is actually a pretty good quality tie. Much better than I thought. I would buy again. The only thing that wasn’t quite what I expected was the color. The red in the picture is deeper than the tie that arrived. The red I received was really more of a tomato red. That said, it’s still not a bad color.

Good quality tie for the money. My teenage son needed a black tie for our wedding. He is excited to wear it and look like his "bonus" (step) dad.

It is true to the color, actually fushia. There's a silky texture to the Tie. There's no loose strings and so I don't see anything that would indicate poor workmanship. Very happy with this tie. My son is 10 years old and this tie fits him perfectly.
