Dorman 56823 Passenger Side Door Mirror Glass Compatible with Select Volvo Models

What a great experience... The passenger side rear view mirror on our 2008 Volvo XC70 just flew off the other day while we were driving. A bit of research online taught us that this is fairly common because the heated defrost feature can cause the adhesive holding the mirror to fail. After some more online research, I found this Dorman replacement mirror at multiple sites, but I was concerned it might not really be as good as the Volvo O.E. mirror. When I called the dealer and heard that it would be over $200 for them to replace the mirror with parts from Volvo, I decided to give the DIY Dorman part a shot instead. The price was right on amazon, and I got the mirror the very next day after I ordered. I just installed it, and it went perfectly. It looks every bit as good as the mirror it replaced, and the whole process took about five minutes. If you need one, this works.

Easy to install, but don't attempt to do it in the cold, I live in the northeast and left the car in a heated garage overnite before attempting to snap it back into the plastic mirror housing.Fit seems well as does function and a month has passed without issues. I'd say I'd buy another but I'm hoping not to have to.

This was an exact fit for my XC90. I followed the included instructions, and was done in about 15 minutes.I’ve also bought a few of their fuel door hinges over the years. If you have an Volvo XC90, you’ve most likely replaced, or had this replaced.Dorman, in my opinion, has high quality replacement parts.

I used this to replace my passenger side mirror on my 2008 Volvo XC70 several months ago. Fits perfectly and was super easy to install. I also received it on time. I have no problem recommending it.

The product arrived in a timely manner. But for the money I spent, the quality does not match. It installed easily but there is significant distortion when looking in the mirror. Every time I look in it, I think "Cheap product". Not exactly how you want to feel after spending $60+ on a small piece of glass.

Fit perfect on my 2008 Volvo xc70. It's a diy job if somewhat inclined. Turn the mirror out, pull hard, pop it off, pull the two heater wires off, install wires to new mirror, then pop it back on.

I was able to replace the mirror that broke in my wife's XC90 in under 5 minutes with this. Super easy to swap out the old one for the new one. The only reason it's not 5 stars is because the mirror has some slight warping to the image. Nothing that would affect safety, but it's definitely not as perfect as the factory glass.
