It was a molded plastic part. It work as advertised. But as plastic it should be about half the price. Plus, there are 4 screws pictured in the ad were missing. These are needed to mount the Fluid Master on top of the part. I fortunately was able to find 4 - 1 inch 10-32 screws laying around to mount the part and get my toilet working.Many other reviews have complained about the bait 'n switch picture. My only complaint is that for $50+ you should be getting what is pictured. If you want to offer a cheaper plastic replacement then you just say that. Here they seem to be offering an exact replacement part, and charging accordingly, however sending a plastic part instead.Unfortunately I wanted to get my toilet up and running so I installed it and it seems to be working.
