So it was easily a worthwhile buy - but my bride will still get pedis just because she likes the whole experience, and I don't blame her.

**Q: How long is the file, handle and all, please?**
A: Just measured it. .  It is 10 and 3/8 inches long

**Q: How do you sanitize? Instructions are listed as just running water, but can you soak it in alcohol and not ruin it?**
A: I use mine for just me (I am not sharing with anyone) so I just run it under water and let it air dry. I don't think you can use alcohol on this repeatedly.

**Q: How long is this file, the handle and all?**
A: Total file length = 10.5inActive file area= approx 6 in

**Q: Please advise if the file must be used with soaked feet or dry feet? Thank you.**
A: The packaging for this file does not specify whether to use it with soaked or dry feet. It really depends on your personal preference, when either using the file on your self or if you are working on clients. All depends on technique and preference.
