Great Quality, Looks sharp, and super effective!
I would never have seen this if it were not for my friend, but let me say that this thing is righteous... It props up your monitor to a level better suited for ergonomics and it has functionality as well. The various ports in the front, man, too cool... Finally, the customer service... they emailed before it arrived, told me thanks and also instructed me how it works... then a follow-up email... if more companies were like this, we would have happier buyers! Like this guy with two thumbs!! Great job y'all!!

Sleek, Looks Nice with Mac But Absent Power for USB Hub
I like that this stand is taller than many other stands. It boosts my iMac by a full 4 inches, which is higher than some adjustable stands. It's the perfect height for my eyes. For Mac owners, the aluminum finish fits right in. It's rather heavy, so I'm comfortable it can handle the weight of the 27-inch computer. The USB ports on the front are handy. Why not 5 stars?Because, as others have noted, they're selling you an allegedly powered USB hub without any power adapter. There is a power adapter outlet on the inside the USB hub but no power supply is provided. I contacted Satechi to ask how to buy a power supply to make it a powered hub and they replied, promptly, that they don't sell one.So strange to sell an incomplete product and then not offer a way to make it work as designed. Naturally, USB ports can work un-powered, but only as long as the device you're plugging in doesn't need that extra boost.

Solid build. Rickety plug'n play.
I originally rated this as 5 stars until I discovered that one of the USB 3.0 ports, when wiggled (you have to have something in it), actually shorts out the other 3. The real problem is, I can't figure out which one it is!! It seems to happen to all of them in one form or fashion when something is even slightly jostled. AGH - this now basically serves as only a monitor stand with almost zero peripheral functionality other than simply keeping my Mac Pro off the surface of the desk, and allowing for a space for wires to be funneled under. Plugging things into it however, causes all kinds of mayhem with the Mac - especially when things like SSD's "disconnect" when the system is asleep and it thinks it was improperly ejected. Punch me in the face.

Fire Hazard or worse waiting to happen!!!!
While the stand does look nice under my Thunderbolt display, I have to wonder if it was the smartest purchase for me to make. The main reason for my buyer's remorse is that the I thought that I'd be able to really use the USB 3.0 ports on the Display Stand. Now, these ports are made to work with USB 3.0, but when you look at the connections on the inside, there is a port for a Power Adapter. While this stand doesn't come with a power adapter, I figured that adding one would be simple and everyone would be happy!!After contacting Satechi's Support for more information on what type of adapter to use, they informed me that it was not safe to use this power adapter!!!!! NOW, I'm wondering what kind of JUNK did I end up buying and why didn't I look around harder for something better quality? Fool me once......Rick

Great customer service
Beautiful piece y that cleaned up clutter. I use this with a Mac book pro, not and iMac. The external monitor is 4k 28" and fits great. There is no power cord with the hub, but I don't need it anyway. When I initially opened it, the USB 3.0 cable was missing. They shipped me one immediately and all is settled. Glad I got this. Especially since the max book pro and air only have 2usb 3.0 portsUpdate : these guys stand behind their product. I had an issue after updating my MBP to Capitan.. they replaced the entire USB hub and it's working great. Wouldn't hesitate to use them again.. AND they're local. Love it.

I find it the perfect level of elevation for my music production setup where ...
very high quality, matches the finish of my iMac perfectly, the extra USB ports are a Godsend, nothing much more to say. I find it the perfect level of elevation for my music production setup where my main midi controller sits in front of it

Nice and sturdy.
I have this under a 27" Thunderbolt Display, seems like I could stand on it with no fear of sagging. Finish is slightly more textured than the Mac finish. USB ports work fine, tho placement could be better if they were up near the top edge - cords plugged in can be in the way of mousing in my set-up.

Not worth the price, but beautiful
I bought the unit and was very pleased with it initially. I love the way it looks and the way it fits my 27" iMac BEAUTIFULLY. 5 stars on aesthetics. My 4 USB ports were working just fine, but wanted to use my bluetooth transmitters for my keyboard and mouse so when I saw the port for the power adaptor, I naturally plugged a power adapter in, thinking it would work as a powered USB Port...(is my common sense off?) My 4 USB ports no longer work once I plugged the power in. This was a very confusing and misleading product and I am very upset about my purchase due to the misinformation about the power adaptor not being safe to use. -3 stars.I still still give the product 2 stars because customer support was very helpful, but cannot give it anything higher because i am stuck with a broken product. They should really sell this product without the ports for less because it is simply STUNNING to look at.
