Once paired, how can i tell which is the left speaker? the one with the blinking led?

Hi yes the blinking led is the dominant speaker eg left one it turns off both as well

I don't think so, if you connect these to your TV the sound will be directed through these speakers and not those of your TV. I use them instead of the the laptop speakers when watching films as the sound is so much better than the laptop's speakers.
