THE WALKING DEAD – THE COMPLETE NINTH SEASON The last season, “All-Out War”, set Rick Grimes and his group of survivors against the Saviours and their ingenious leader, Negan. A year and a half after the war, we see our survivors rebuilding civilisation under Rick’s unwavering leadership. Over time, the community is confronted with unexpected obstacles and tensions, but nothing prepares them for the true danger which is developing without their knowledge, and which will endanger the very civilisation that our survivors have been struggling to build. Bonus Features Review: A great season - Brought this because I`m hooked on the Walking dead Review: The reinvigoration of the franchise - I've been a fan of The Walking Dead since Season 1. It is by far my favourite TV series of all time. As the years went by, the show had its highs and lows. The first 5 seasons were phenomenal, Season 6 had its moments of greatness, but got a bit carried away with fake-out deaths and of course the infamous cliffhanger finale. First episode of Season 7 was amazing, but it started to really slow down after that, and began to feel stale. Season 8 was a bit better, but it still felt like something was off. Season 9, however, was exactly what the show needed to breathe new life back into it. Going into the season, I was very worried after hearing about the impending departure of Andrew Lincoln, who has portrayed my all-time favourite TV show character Rick Grimes since 2010. I was worried, no only about how he would be written out, but also about whether the show could even survive without him. Well, the show proved me wrong on both counts, not only did they find the perfect way for Rick to exit, but the rest of the season kept my interest, thanks to the remaining ensemble of characters that I've grown to love over the years. Notable stand outs are Norman Reedus as fan-favourite Daryl Dixon, Melissa McBride as Carol Peletier (who has had the best character development in the whole series) and Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Negan (who continues to steal the show). The introduction of new characters is also a strong point of the season, whether it be the more friendly new faces (Magna's group) or the not-so-friendly new faces (The Whisperers). I found all of them to be welcome additions to the cast. I encourage anyone who may have lost interest in the series somewhere down the line to give it another go, as I'm more excited than ever about the future of the franchise, especially with the upcoming movie trilogy.

Why is everyone whispering
A great season not as exciting as the others but not a bad season building up I assume for the next season I don’t like spoilers so I can’t really write much But I shall try to write things One get the tissues out as a major character dies in a shocking twist and it a twist I really enjoyed I knew it was coming from reading the comics and minor minor spoiler on an email I was sent several months before we could get it as we only have terrestrial and Netflix tv so we have to wait for the DVDs and no I don’t pirate shows I have never done anything like that (true fact/ read below for real reason) It jumps from the future to the past several times so please keep up with where is where If your watching this on the PS4 as we did you need to change the sound settings On the disc options if you just have a basic set up as for several episodes we didn’t know this (not being very tech savey) so we wondered why they had the volume down to a ridiculous setting we actually were on the brink of sending the DVDs back saying there is something wrong with them. As I knew one of the other seasons were too dark and needed replaced I just cannot remember which one it was. The box set is like all the others nothing special about it same looking disks as the rest same looking box actually it often a worry that I’ve not chosen the same box set as I already have .. they really need to work in this it only minor details that Change and speaking of that the theme Intro has also changed which I quite like and actually fully understand why ... unlike my partner who complained through it ... it the minor things apparently I don’t know if I can say anything else that won’t give the game away

WALKING DEAD SEASON 9
Season 9 is a bit of an improvment, but still for my money, too many characters and plot lines, and some of the new characters have yet to make their mark. Also newbie "Henry" must be THE most annoying character yet. Selfish, incredibly stupid ( if there is a wrong decision to take, he will take it. Darryl and Carol and Michone are still plugging away. So sadly is Negan!. The introduction of the "Whisperers" led by Alpha as played by Samantha Morton brings a touch of the macabre, and much needed menace. (Why her I ask? So far she spends most of her screen time in a "walker" mask. When not, she is quite terrifying!) Truth be told I was surprised to learn Series 10 is ready for TV. As I have the previous 9, I will get it, but, please, producers, then draw it to a close. To finish - Still worth watching, and I am enjoying this more than seasons 7 and 8. (P.S. How many viewers actually followed the plot for episode 14 on disc 5?? Tell the truth now.)

Return to form
This is such a breath of fresh air after the awful rotten stinker of a previous season (season 8). This season focuses on the united communities as they face problems inside and outside their uneasy alliance. We see a few new faces arrive with Magna's group of survivors, and then there's the mysterious 'Whisperers' threat looming. Old news by now but this marks the final season for lead actor Andrew Lincoln portraying Rick Grimes, and Maggie Greene (played by Lauren Cohan) only appears in the first five episodes (she returns again in season 10).

Absoluetly awesome series best in a long while.
Ive watched this show right from the start and ive always loved every second and every season , with the odd dry episode here or there which were just okay but this season really stepped up , gave us the arrival of the whisperers top acting and creepy suspence of just not being sure whats a walker and whats not ,just how i imagined the comic version being live action major spoilers now is the loss of the main star rick grimes aka Andrew lincoln and Jesus Tom payne , once you get past it honest it really does hold up well still this show , i cant really say i noticed rick being gone due to all the action and the drama really pulled it off well i miss him loads but the show had to move on without him he wants to do bigger things , as for jesus that was a sour patch because he trained so hard to be awesome and fight like he did when he died but rarely did that under gimples directoring and so he decided to leave and this is where angela kang stepped it all up 100% after all that with some of the best moments so far.
