Used this for my 2nd generation eggs that my first butterflies laid. At first I was afraid my baby caterpillars weren't eating or growing enough so I introduced some thistle and they began to get huge immediately. They then ate this diet and the thistle and totally thrived and all formed chrysalides within a couple days of each other. I am super impressed with the quality of these healthy caterpillars. Definitely recommend these guys.

When they first hatched they did not eat the food, so I gave them Thistle plant. By the middle of the second week, OMG they eat this mixture like it was a banquet! Cant wait to see them turn into Painted Ladies. Elizabeth Rodriguez.Enjoy the pics

Great food! Helped get my Painted Lady caterpillars fat enough to get through metamorphosis! I ran out of mallow to feed them, and I was desperate. I saw this food online and gave it a try. This food is a great value and really worked great. The Painted Lady caterpillars loved it!

I would give it 5 stars, but for what you get it seems a bit expensive.

This extra food came in very handy when our first grade class studied butterflies in science. We usually release them within a few days of hatching but for some reason they decided to hatch slowly and we kept them longer. So when we returned to school on a Monday, we found Painted Lady butterfly eggs! So we released the adults and I ordered this food so the larva would have food when they hatched. It worked out great.
