Intense Heartwarming Romance Between Mafia Princess & Bratva Alpha
OK, I am a full on sucker for a romance involving a strong, tough, hard Alpha anti-Hero & a strong heroine bravely battling illness. I just am.Man, oh man, does the author DE-LIVER in this story. Everything: it is HEARTWARMING, HEARTWRENCHING, made me sigh dreamily, chew my lower lip in worry, made my palm itch to smack Vlad, made me want to hug Vlad & Mika, made me tear up & I read this one straight through because I HAD TO KNOW how it all ended up!!!Vlad (anti-Hero), a high level bookkeeper for his Bratva Pakhan kidnaps Alessia Tacone (heroine) as revenge against her brother, Junior Tacone, but Vlad bites off A LOT more than he realized.Alessia is beautiful, intelligent, brave, empathetic, loving & so not the arrogant privleged Princess he assumed she'd be.AND, she's a diabetic in Stage 3 Renal failure.I truly did love this story, the author wonderfully develops & fleshes out the main characters, gives them a depth of personality & emotion that challenges the reader not to care, not to be invested in or intrigued by them, not to keep fingers crossed for everything to turn out for these entrancing characters.Vlad was a wonderfully flawed individual who had an intense & loving heart hidden under layers of protective scars, who tried to fight his growing love for Alessia, who was obssessively intense about ensuring she remained as healthy & safe as possible, who kept a abandoned & orphaned boy with him to save him from darker men: again, a dreamy sigh . . .And Alessia, who kept a level head despite her abduction, her illness with its potential death sentence while far away from her supportive & loving family, yet maybe, just maybe, found the love of her life & salvation. This is an awesome story, it has some triggers but I found it to incredibly heartwarming with exactly the right amount of danger, suspense, sizzling steam, gutting emotions & romance. And again, I looooved it!

What's not to love?
Alessia and Vlad are a great couple. I also loved how Ms. Rose threw in a wrench regarding Alessia's health issues from the get go (not a spoiler really- we learn of Alessia's health issues on page 1 practically). It's an important part of the story and I LOVE that Ms. Rose didn't gloss things over or make things "all better" at the end. Vlad was alpha male through and through, but actually "soft" when I think of the Bratva and what the Tacones did to Vlad's "cell." The only time Alessia gets into real trouble with Vlad is when she doesn't watch her health and take care of herself. I recommend!

Just couldn't quit reading until the end.
I really enjoyed reading Alessia and Vlad. It's a dirty, filthy, hot sexy story and a hea. All the male characters are written with an OTT apha mentality and Alessia is strong-willed but a sweet young woman also.Vlad is a domineering alpha Russian man and second to Victor the head of the Russian mafia. He's on a mission to kidnap Alessia in retaliation of her brothers' attack and killing everyone in one of the Russian cells. Also making a 12 y/o boy an orphan.Alessia is at her brothers' double weddings and reception. She has become fatigued and knows it's not from low blood sugar but her failing kidney. She hasn't told her family or anyone that she has been diagnosed with stage three kidney failure as a result of her diabetes, but she's not yet in need of a transplant. She is exiting the restroom when a man grabs her and she begins to struggle and goes limp as the contents from the needle that the man injected into her neck.Vlad picks her up and places her into the cart covering with the tray and a sheet...There may be triggers to some so be aware.I received an ARC from the author for an honest opinion.

Russian Bratva Prince meets Italian Mafia Princess
Who doesn’t love the uber Alpa male that Renee Rose writes about. Vlad is both an a@@ and a good guy. Renee makes you see the good in him even when he’s acting like an Alphahole! You think Alessia is going to be a spoiled brat. At least that’s what Vlad is thinking. Well he is in for a big surprise!. Alessia gets under and into his heart and he can’t let her go. Renee brings out the best and worst of in character. Like Vlad, you think I am never going to like someone who is in organized crime. Then you hear his story and how he got into it and what he’s done to protect himself and people he cares for and you think there is such a humanness about them. This is a very well written story with the right amount of heat, kink (think spankings and dominance)!, and, dare I say it in a mafia romance, sweet! Oh, yeah there is a definite HEA for these two! I can't wait for book seven in the Vegas Underground series.

Oh my lord
I feel singed. I need a cold drink, and a cigarette (too bad I don't smoke). Yes, ladies this book was that good. Renee managed the right amount of softness and love in this story. Vald was what every woman pines for and the "printcessa" was likable too. Great story, great writing, great love, and great sex, I couldn't ask for more. As to the diabetes misinformation, if you or your loved ones haven't experienced it, you really don't know all the different things it involves. I give her a pass on this. Now, if someone would massage my scalp!

Great addition to the series
This story is a little different from the previous ones in this series as most of it takes place in Russia. But I am loving how these tough, mafia guys have a different side to them when they find their true love, and how it brings out the protective side of them. There is so much to this story - revenge, love, children, Alessia's secret health condition, and so much more. I loved how Alessia knew how to push Vlad's buttons, and he knew she was doing it. He showed his caring side by making sure she was checking her blood sugar and taking her insulin as needed. So many twists to this story that just added to the enjoyment of reading it.

Vlad and Alessia's story
His Queen of Clubs is Vlad and Alessia's story. This book is my favorite book in the series. There are so many twists and turns with the storyline. The drama, danger and suspense of this book drew me in. Vlad was the character that I love to hate the most. I read this well written and developed story in one sitting. It seemed to me the three characters were made for each other. I hope we see more of them in other books.

A thoroughly enjoyable tale .
We met Alessia briefly in the last story she’s the feisty little sister of the five Tacone boys , she now finds herself with all the family in Las Vegas for the wedding of Junior and Desiree . Unbeknown to everyone Vlad the leader of the Chicago Bratva is there also looking for revenge for the killing his comrades .( If you’ve read the previous book you’ll know what happened when Vlad went back to Russia to attend to his late mother’s affairs and left Ivan in charge ) . Now Vlad has decided to kidnap the Alyssia take her to Russia , marry her and hold her for ransom, what Vlad is unaware of is that Alessia is an insulin dependant diabetic more to the point Alessia is keeping secret from her family is that she has stage three kidney failure a complication which is due to her diabetes . The abduction goes to plan and he’s helped by Mika a twelve year old child , who strangely enough is also a member of the Bratva this is explained in the book though . Alessia certainly doesn’t make it easy on Vlad and tries to escape a few times but the sexual chemistry between the two is undeniable and you know it’s only a matter of time before they fall for one another . Trouble is a-brewing on the horizon though when Alessia’s kidney trouble escalates to stage four , witch now finds her now on dialysis and her only hope of leading a fairly normal life is a kidney transplant Vlad is left with no choice but to phone her brothers what happens when they finally meet 😳😳 ......

Revenge of the Russians
Vlad is the boss of the bratva, the Russian Mafia, who had most of his bratva wiped out by the Tacones in Joker's Wild, the previous book in the series. As revenge, he captures Alessia who is the Tacone's younger sister and takes her to Russia in order to extort payment from the Tacones. Because most of the story takes place in Russia, it concentrates more on the building relationship between Vlad and Alessia rather than the Tacones. This made for a very interesting read. The only downside (which might not be such for some readers) is that the sex scenes were predictable and following the same pattern as early books, with Alessia being tied up and being taken by Vlad at the slightest provocation ("You're naughty, you will be punished" is the continuing underlying dictum)

Loved this series
This series by Renee Rose is just brilliant. Its full of twists and turns you don't expect. And the relationship between Leesa and Vlad has its ups and downs but I loved it all

Russian Diversion
I love that Alessia found her match. We haven't seen much of her in the previous books in the series, but getting to know her in His Queen of Clubs has been a wild ride.Vlad is kind of yummy in a growly way, and I think I may officially be a mafia romance fan after reading this series.

Hot & Possessive
I absolutely loved this book. I couldn't get enough and devoured it. I immediately took a liking to Vlad, he was definitely all alpha and took control. The scenes with him and Alessia made me smile sometimes laugh, they were a great pairing. The flow of the book was perfect and so was the ending.
