Porter Cable 1342143 Planer Knife Lock Bar

I'll be 100% honest I have no idea what this is or what this is for ... You see several times a month my husband emails me a link simply saying "buy this." Since I strive to be an obedient a dutiful with I do what I am told. Her works hard to provide for our family so who am I to deny him the joy of a Porter cable, right? I am assuming all these purchases have something to do with the variety of ancient tools we have living in our garage. He says they just don't make them like they used to, but I suspect he is also kind of cheap, why buy a new table saw when you can get a 30 year old one off of craigslist for $10, but I digress.To make a long story short I wasn't asked to return this and I didn't get a thirty minute lecture about how you just can't find quality parts anymore so I am taking this as a win.

A woodchip bent one of the knife lock bars on my Delta portable planer. This one matches exactly with the remaining one, indicating that P-C and Delta must be built by the same sub contactor. It dropped into place and put my tool back to work. Good to find what I needed without having to buy two, since only 1 was damaged. Supplier had the part in my hands almost before I could pull the original part off and clean up the bed. Great service. Great price.

This was used to replace a damaged bar. Trying to un-bend a damaged bar just wouldn't work.Bob

this part does not fit my planer .and i dont understand why i ordered it. it must have been ordered by mistake how do i return it

Should come with bolts. Having a hard time finding bolts mine old ones are rusted out

This tool had a bow and was also crooked making unsafe to use on a high speed machine. Finish was also poor. Probably a Chinese crap. I returned it.
