If you're looking for an iPad-specific tablet holder that attaches directly to the iPad itself (you must remove your case) and that goes on the top of a music stand (thus completely requiring it's own stand), this one is really, really, really nice. It attaches and detaches beautifully, and the huge knob makes it very easy to adjust viewing angle. Excellent product, but keep in mind - with this product your iPad is going to require it's own stand. (Other tablet holders attach to existing stands, which means you have less flexibility with iPad placement.)

just as advertised. looks to be a pretty solid & high quality iPad Air holder. as another reviewer mentioned, the 19714 is for iPad Air 1, but will work fine with an iPad Air 2, even though it's slightly thinner than the iPad Air 1. it would've been just fine as is, but i ended up adding some soft velcro strips along the edges of the holder which made my iPad Air 2 more secure. save a few bucks and get this holder instead of the slightly more expensive iPad Air 2 holder.

Won't fit my ipad. What a hassle. 1/8" short on both sides. They should have put the DIMENSIONS in the descriptions.I'm not the company design engineer but WHY?? wouldn't they make this more universal as there are so many different ipads and tablets out there.Too bad. It looks like a good strong and workable product if it fit.

iPad can be hard to get in and out, but Does as advertised

This is a well made pro product, and it is priced accordingly. Using this for an iPad Air. Tight but secure, and relatively easy to clip iPad Air in and out of. Slide in one direction and reverse the process to remove it. Do not force it! Any cover on the iPad Air needs to be removed first, this mount is snug. I picked up a separate clamp mounting unit and fixed a short gooseneck on it to support the iPad mount. Works great. There is a pricier version that includes a mic stand mount.

For years I have been making do with iPad holders that, once set, would not stay in place. Constantly having to readjust the angle and tighten the grips. Finally, a mount that holds my iPad in place and stays. If not for the high price, I would buy more of these for my band.

Love the design, very solid and works as it should. Great for my corporate gigs that I need to read charts and such.

Just an FYI. While this WILL work for your iPad Air 2, it is a little loose. Your iPad Air 2 will rattle a bit in the mount. This is because the iPad Air 2 is slightly thinner (6.1mm) then the original iPad Air (7.5mm). The other dimensions are identical.K&M has just released an identical mount specifically for the iPad Air 2, model number 19717. I couldn't find the 19717 on Amazon with Prime shipping, so I returned this one and found the iPad Air 2 model from an online music retailer for $45.99 with free shipping. Just follow your "Full Compass" to find it. :-)Why did I give it 5 Stars? Because this is an EXCELLENT mount and if I had an original iPad Air it would be perfect. If there was no iPad Air 2 model, I would have kept it. It wouldn't have fallen out, and it looked like it would be fantastic on stage. But since the proper model does exist, I'll get it instead.

Living in Canada, any product made of plastic can be a problem in the winter months as it can get brittle when sitting in a vehicle. I had an earlier version for iPad3 and after weekly use for four years, it is in the same condition it was in coming out of the box. I expect this will be the same. No threaded parts have ever stripped and the plastic frame has always held the iPad tightly as when delivered. Very pleased!
