Best paint I've found
I bought this paint as a comparison between Winsor & Newton and Liquitex professional and student paints. In order to compare I did a simple gradient test to find the truest and birghtest color when mixed with white. I find it important to note that the professional Winsor and Newton uses the same pigments as the Liqutex student paint. I found that Winsor and Liquitex professional pains have the same degree of pigment saturation. However Liquitex professional had the brightest color when mixed with white. Liquitex student paint was only slightly duller than the professional and a closer comparison to Winsor professional. The Winsor student paint was not phthalo blue as I expected and had a very strong green shade. By all standards Liquitex professional was the best paint by being true to the expected color, having a high degree of pigment saturation, and remaining bright after being mixed with white. Winsor professional and Liquitex student tie for second though price would put Liquitex ahead. Winsor professional had a higher saturation but was not as bright when mixed with white and compared to Liquitex student. Winsor student pain comes in dead last by an long shot. The paint is the completely wrong color though its pigmentation states that it should be the same as Liquitex professional. The degree of saturation is far less that any of the other paints and it is greatly dulled by the white paint.Final rankings: 1. Liquitex professional 2. Liquitex student 3. Winsor & Newton professional 4. great dissapointment 5. Winsor & Newton StudentI will be buying Liquitex paints for my art.

beautiful VIVID liquid acrylics with wonderful consistency!
These are WONDERFUL paints. They have a fluid consistency, but are incredibly creamy and highly pigmented at the same time. I have used quite a few brands of fluid acrylics before (everything from Golden to craft paints to Byzantias) but never committed to an entire set.I purchased a number of Liquitex Soft Body paints for a painting class I am taking- we were required to have a few fluid acrylics for some of the techniques in the class. I have a stash of regular and heavy body acrylics, but not as many fluid acrylics, and as soon as I received the Liquitex paints and opened them, I realized that I have been missing out. These paints have the same pigment and coverage as thicker acrylics (the acrylics with a toothpaste consistency) but flow beautifully (like syrup). The soft body paints are perfect for either "loose" painting or detail oriented work. The colors are wonderful and the consistency is a lovely, thick fluid. I use both glaze and water to dilute these, but they flow so nicely, it's rarely necessary. They just flow across the surface of canvas (and paper) and are vivid and bright.LOVE these paints. I want them in all the colors!

Liquitex is my FAVORITE Acrylic
I like the smoothness of the soft body acrylics. Recently, I learned The reason for using the mixing white is to lightly tint a color without using as much of the more expensive pigments like cobalt. I have not tried it myself, but I did see a live demonstration from a Liquitex representative. If you want a high quality paint with smooth texture and pigment strength this is the one to get. It is also more affordable than other brands, plus, they are the ones who created Acrylic paint. Also, they have spray paint, markers and inks all with similar formulas so they can all easily be intermixed. Their mediums and Sealers are fantastic, and they have a full line of brushes and palette knives. This company continually strives to improve things and get you the products you need, even if that means encouraging you to buy things form other companies. If your local art store has a demonstration, I encourage to check it out and get some free samples of their product.Occasionally, I try other brands, but I have not found one I like better.LOVE LOVE LIQUITEX!

Best paint you can buy for small detailed work, but NOT FROM HERE
I use this brand of paint for professional prototype work in the toy industry. It's fantastic for even coverage, bold color and fine detail. I can't speak highly enough of this brand. A small bottle will last years without drying out too. I have dozens of different colors of this paint at my studio, some of them I use regularly, some I use only occasionally. So I know for sure a normal bottle of this paint will stay wet and workable for a very long time. That's why I have given this particular item a 1 star. I ordered it from here and it arrived completely dried out and completely unusable....the seal had been broken, though the lid was sealed over it. I requested a return, and was sent a replacement. The replacement had a completely dried out skin on the top of the bottle, under the air tight seal. I've attached a picture of both bottles side by side. This paint should look very wet, hence being called a "soft body paint". It should be runnier than toothpaste....perhaps more like the consistency of a high end face cream. It should not keep a peak without flattening out. A fresh bottle never has a rubber skin on it. It is always runny. For this brand of paint to dry out as much as this means that this batch of paint is extremely old, or kept in poor conditions.I do not recommend buying this brand from anywhere other than a specialist art supply store like Jerry's Artarama or Dick Blick, where I know you will get a fresh and quality batch of paint.I have completely wasted my time and money trying to get a deal buying it here. Absolutely not worth it. I'm keeping the replacement bottle, since the paint underneath the dried out skin is still usable....and I am desperate for this color at the moment. But I won't be buying from here again, as I have no trust that I am getting something that hasn't expired it's normal life span.

Ottimo prodotto.
Buon punto di nero. Abbastanza fluido, ma coprente. Utilizzato su una tela di iuta grezza.Consigliato.

Great paint
Excellent paint, the pigment load is great and when used for mini painting after thinning the pigment is still very opaque. The quality is much better than student grade paints.
