I purchased this modeling wax as a gift for my five and seven year old nieces since my two older kids, who are four and six, really enjoy it. It's wonderful stuff. It allows the kids to create and sculpt without making a mess. It's a rather hard wax and the sheets will seem too firm to sculpt but you just hold it in your hands or under your arm if your hands are usually cold and it will soften up. It will firm up after several minutes but is easily rewarmed. I like to tell my kids a story while we are holding the wax. You can get a good five or so playing sessions out of 1/4 to 1/3 of a sheet but after that it gets an odd texture. Just set those used pieces aside and use them to decorate the outside of candles, the wax burns down along with the candle. The wax, because it hardens after being sculpted, can be made into playthings. The kids make senery for their wooden animals as well as food for them. It doesn't get ground into the carpet like clay and small bits are easily vacuumed up. It's a great gift for a child that already has lots of art supply clutter because the box is fairly small.I can only see four downsides to it:- the kids want to keep their creation meaning they want to use more rather than reusing but they eventually reuse the wax from old creations- finished pieces are usually coking hazards so if you have babies or toddlers like I do you need to be very careful- the kids like to use more than one color for something then don't bother disassembling it before softening and using again so we end up with lots of a brownish color- it's expensive, no way around it this wax costs a lot but the amazon price is pretty good especially with the free shippingOne last note - don't worry about ordering it because of the weather. I bought it in August and live on the gulf coast. The sheets are separated by waxed paper so they came through no problem in 100+ degree heat. I also tried putting a sheet of the wax in the freezer and it was fine after it warmed back up so it should arrive just fine in the winter. The sheets are 1/4 inch or so thick so they don't become brittle in cold weather like thinner sheets of candle wax do.

I am making this review as clear and as honest as possible. Some reviewers have mentioned that it is hard to work with. This is true. It is after all wax that you can mold but it takes time and effort to use.I love it becauseIt can be made amazingly thing then hardens after and stays in a shape.It has a great smell and brilliant colorsIt takes very little to make an object.It works well for kids with sensory issues. I have family with sensory and it really helped them out.It keeps shape wellIt does not turn into a messy brown ball of color when mixed.Over all I really like this product for the effort it takes to work it and think it is a great product. Those who are not looking for a material that is not hard to work with should consider another product or natural clay.Here are some important things to remember if you are considering getting this and are not sure if it is for you.It is hard to mold(they suggest dipping it in warm water to help speed up process)It can break if too thin.It does collect hair or lint but mostly when it is still warm.Colors take some effort to stick together.It is not good for big projectsIt is not good for those who do not have time or patienceI would avoid leaving it out in a very hot placeSome tricks I have learned in using it.Use the warm water as they suggested to make it more workablepress firmly when adding colors to something.Make sure it is warmed enough to help it stick better.I hope this was helpful I still give the product 5 stars because it works really well for what I and my family needed.

I have seen this product on instagram for a few years but always felt it was overpriced. I took the leap and bought some as a first day for school present for my kids. WOW! It is worth the money. It's perfect for older kids who have grown out of playdough. My kids use it during read alouds. I even keep a bit in my bag to pass out during church or in restaurants to keep little hands busy.My kids had to get the hang of warming the wax to make it pliable enough to work with. Even my husband and I grab bits to mold in our down time. Great stuff!

A wonderful set for my kids (ages 6 and 4). The colors are beautiful and the wax is soft and pliable once warmed up a bit. The kids love playing with these beeswax sheets and we can reuse them over and over again in new creations. The colors bland beautifully and after a while we no longer have truly clean colors, but that's ok with us. Art is art and colors find their way into each other to create hues and rainbows! Our pieces no longer fit neatly into the box, so I got a clear plastic container with a snap-on lid for keeping these beeswax pieces neatly stored between creative times. We homeschool and these are definitely a great addition to our collection of art supplies!

Perfect! This wax gets more pliable as you play with it your hands and is soothing for children of all ages.

Our kids love this stuff. They craft constantly, creating whole worlds filled with animals and people. I have been amazed at the creativity this has brought out in them. Definitely worth the purchase. My only advice is to make sure your kids don't leave it in your hot car... quite a mess!

This modelling beeswax smells gorgeous! You get a good range of colours in the box. You need a little patience to warm it in your hands to sofgen, and is then ready for modelling. You can ideologue model for as long as you like, then we it to soften and make something new. Great for Waldorf inspired families!

I bought this for my son as he LOVES modeling Beeswax. It was nice for him to get a box of bright colours all to himself and he was thrilled. Smells so good and a high quality product.
