The tough Timex Men's Ironman Solar Power SHOCK Watch was designed to keep up with serious athletes as they run, bike, and swim their way to success. Constructed with a lightweight resin case, this solar-powered watch includes a stationary metal bezel and a durable black resin wristband secured with an adjustable buckle clasp. A strong mineral crystal protects the digital-gray dial, which displays time as well as day, date, and month. Four function buttons framing the dial control the countdown timer, Indiglo nightlight, and night mode features, allowing you to customize your workouts. The solar-powered watch also includes a Start-Split button below the dial and a sleep mode for maximum efficiency and eco-friendliness. Powered by digital-quartz movement, the timepiece is water resistant to 660 feet (220M). CasioWith the launch of its first watch in November 1974, Casio entered the wristwatch market at a time when the watch industry had just discovered digital technology. As a company with cutting-edge electronic technology developed for pocket calculators, Casio entered this field confident that it could develop timepieces that would lead the market.Today, Casio is focusing its efforts on solar-powered radio-controlled watches: the built-in solar battery eliminates the nuisance of replacing batteries, atomic timekeeping means the users never have to reset the time. Recently, Casio launched a series of Bluetooth watches that sync to the users cell phone to automatically update the time. Casio is always moving time forward.

Timex used to Be Good
Timex used to make a quality product. So much so that even being overseas quite often I would mail order in Timex watches. This watch lasted for a while and then moisture got on the inside. The bands often break also and it is a custom band so you need to send it in for repair. While the warranty service is pretty good, this only helps if the initial product is also good, somehow the last few timex watches I have had have all been in the 'junk' category. I am now using Casio watches which seems to be better engineered and better quality than Timex.

Four Stars
Comfortable tough watch. Night light doesn't keep much power for long light time.

It works but it does not glow
I like the multiple alarms that can be set and the chronometer feature. The back lighting worked in the beginning, but after a couple of months it stopped working even though the battery was fully charged. I sent the watch in for repair, got it back in working order, and after a month the light is not working again.Every time you send the watch in for repairs you spend money on the postage, and you waste time on creating the shipping box and then going down to the postal office. This watch broke down twice and is not worth the hassle. After all, I purchased a watch *because I value my time*...

Great watch- very comfortable!
This is a great, yet simple, watch. It has very easy to use functions- you will not even need the manual to figure it out. I've put this thing through some serious abuse (oilfield work and crossfit) and it still performs flawlessly. It stays charged fine for me because I stay outdoors most of the day. So comfortable it rarely leaves my wrist. The only thing negative is the finish has worn off of the Start button leaving a off white plastic button instead of the attractive chrome... ( but seriously I've worn this watch for over a year and it has been put through the ringer!)

Not Very Water Resistant
I was extremely excited to get this watch in the mail and truly enjoyed it for the first few weeks. I snorkel frequently and the watch held up nicely to the salt water for my first few trips. The last time I went, the watch face got visible water inside which has now turned to condensation and visible salt deposits. Somehow, the watch (minus indiglo) still works fine and is usuable, but it definitely would not withstand depths as advertised. I doubt I even went 15 feet down on the day this happened. Its a shame, I really do like the watch and will continue to wear it until I find a suitable replacement.
