Plastic pH Test Strips, Universal Application (pH 4.5-9.0), 100 strips

This is a good product for measuring soil pH. I wanted a product with good resolution in the range that I expect to find in soil. This product has range of 4.5 to 9 with 0.25 pH unit resolution i.e. the range that you're expected to find in your soil. This product is more useful than a typical test strip with 0-14 pH with 1 pH unit resolution.I docked one star because the readings are difficult for me to read. The colors on the chart are very similar and don't have as much contrast as I would prefer.

These are not good for testing PH on homemade soap. Usually homemade soaps start off at PH 10 then drop down over curing time. Mild store brands such as Dove are 7.5 to 8. So being that these only go to 9, there's noway to tell if your batch is too high. Waiting 5-6 weeks and retesting is all that can be done. I thought I brought the strips that went to PH 14.

Does the job as advertised. On time delivery. Highly recommend it.

The only quibble I have is with the box... putting the lid back on inevitably catches few strips bending them, otherwise very easy and accurate to read color charts...
