Kenny Rogers - The Journey

Do not buy this. It would not play in my DVD player. It just displayed a bunch of file folders. Took the disk to my computer and opened it there and only found file folders with multiple video files of different formats. I had to use a special DVD player app on my computer to even open the files. The files did appear to contain Kenny Rogers videos. It appears that this someone just did a file copy of a bunch of files from a computer to this disk but did not do it properly and in a format that a DVD player can use or play. This is completely worthless. Got this to give as a gift several weeks in advance of giving it to them. Now I see on the Amazon site that it is past the "return" date so it appears that I am stuck and that this purchase was a total waste of money.

This is an excellent DVD !It is comprehensive and explains the beginning roots through the end of Kenny Rogers career. Anyone who has even the slightest interest in Kenny Rogers will not be let down by watching this !It is not a concert but has a lot of concert Clips in it.Especially duets with other stars.

I have this DVD and I love it!! It covers so many years of his life and had information I didn't know. The guest stars are all great, and the duets just so much fun. The song that really got me was, The Last Ten Years. You could see the emotion on his face about the subject matter. If you love this man, you won't go wrong owning this. Thanks Amazon for having this DVD for us to buy!

What a tribute to a tremendous entertainer. I've followed Kenny Rogers for most of my life and think he's been under rated. The songs he's written are straight from the heart and can touch your soul. This DVD follows Kenny's career right up to modern day times. It's fun to go back through time when we were "growing up" to our times when we've "mellowed out"...well, some of us anyway.We've gotten so stressed out in this day and age, it's great to sit back and relax with some wholesome entertainment and music that makes you want to grab the person next to you and dance.I highly recommend it...Enjoy!

Great songs all the way through. My only complaint was all the talking in between the songs.

Really great video but in a DVD-R disc! Not original, only a cheap copy!

I've watched many biographies, including of Kenny, but this is different. The emphasis is on him and his journey with his music. You see Kenny interviewed in his twenties and today, talking about Dolly, Dotty, Sheena and Kim Carnes among other singing partners and watching them perform, listen to lively quotes and quips from Lionel Ritchie, Ken Kragen, Brent Maher and others - and so much more. I've watched it so many times I need to replace it - and will.Teri
