16 Piece Carbon-Steel File Set Great for Woodworking & Metalworking, Whittling Professional Hobby Project DIY Metal File Tool

I am really impressed with this file set. I purchased this set because I was in need of some smaller hobby sized files. Upon receipt I opened the zippered storage bag and the files just looked like really good quality. The handles appear to be really well build, ergonomic, and a good size. I really didn't expect this level of quality at the price I paid. The assortment of the smaller files was better than what I had expected as well. I would highly recommend this file set.

good set, i was nervous about buying it because all the other reviewers used these on wood. I wanted to use it on metal like mild steel, etc. bought it anyways and worked just like i was hoping it would. I needed them to make round holes square on mild steel so it would hold carriage bolts. Sharp set and can really file down metal.

Looks like a very high quality kit. I haven't used it much so far, so 4 stars so far. I have some projects planned so maybe I'll update then.

I'm planning on using this set for sharpening old two man crosscut saws, although I haven't actually used it yet I will say out of the box these files look good! No broken edges or cracks. The handles are comfortable in my hand and feel solid.

Needed a set of files for my new hobby machine shop. Had a opportunity to try them out on a project and was very pleased with the set, it had all the file profile types I needed in the packet. Highly recommend them.

I bought this file set for my wife for some craft projects she has. I liked it because of the variety of the sizes and different coursenesses (I just made that word up, but I think you get my drift). She was very impressed that shortly after delivery, the company also sent an email about the proper care for her new set. She had no idea of the importance of the right way to care for a quality file. Now I need to get her a file card as well so she can keep the files in great shape for years to come. Hi there guys,I have received your file set and was not happy how they have arrived. Box has been loose and some tools got loose as well. Case and handles are very nice but metal finish, especially on large files is terrible. Whatever casting process you use, it has left a lot of tiny holes and "bubbles" on metal surface, which does not make me confident in your tools. You really need to improve a QC process unless you do not care about your customer base. I will come back to this review in six months in order to report how did you improve. I used the file set on a pair of home speakers that I'm building as I put maple veneer on them and needed files to shape the veneer edges. These were perfect for this task but I'm expecting to use them for many others.
