Dreampad Mini - Bone Conduction Pillow

Did not help me but does not mean it couldn’t help other people.

This is nothing more than a pillow with a speaker inside, there is no bone conduction. I plugged in my ipod and could hear the music without even putting my head down. If the pillow sold for $20 or $25 I might keep it, but for $180 I expect more than a speaker inside.

The music is helping me to calm down before sleep, and the technology is great. I can listen to the music through a pillow without interrupting others. The cover is "plastic", not comfortable. I have to use my own. I am still very sensitive to noise, so I can't literally sleep on it with music on. I lie on it with music on and read then turn off the music when I am ready to sleep. I have tried to sleep on it on top of my contour pillow, it is not comfortable. I sleep better without it. It takes 3-4 weeks for me to get used to it.

UPDATE - We purchased this a couple years ago. Our kiddo used it, fixed the sleep issues and stopped using it. He wouldn't let anyone else have it or even borrow it though. It's been sitting in his closet for at least a year. Enter this past month. 3 days of the old issues - trouble falling asleep, trouble staying asleep, trouble falling back to sleep and waking at 5AM or earlier. I insisted on using the pillow again. FIXED AGAIN! The pillow is back in the closet only a week later. I compared his sleep cycle issues to a car's timing belt - every now and then, it gets out of whack and needs to be reset. He would have trouble falling asleep, staying asleep, sleeping deeply and waking, let alone starting his day with a positive attitude. He's been using the pillow with the engineered music for two weeks now. He's only had 2 nights of sleep issues, has been harder to wake up and has been happy in the mornings. As for this being just a pillow with a speaker, I completely disagree. I did NOT follow the instructions that say NOT to do this and turned the volume up on one of the engineered songs so I could hear it and then put my head down on it. Within seconds, my eyes started flitting back and forth uncontrollably. One of the odd side effects this pillow has seemed to have on my son is that he is suddenly feeling his full bladder in the morning. SPD kiddos bodies often do not send clear sensory messages and he had never had a strong urge to use the bathroom like most people upon waking. Apparently, a nerve runs down through the neck to the bladder. The bone conduction is stimulating that nerve, and it has started to send messages better. Best money I've spent in a long time!

I've been using the Dreampad pillow on and off for almost a year. I'm not sure if it has really made any difference with my sensory issues. I also thought you wouldn't be able to hear it if your head wasn't on the pillow but that is not the case; even at a medium volume you can hear the sound, which is problematic when you share a bed with someone. If it were cheaper I'd probably say it's worth trying but at this price I'd only recommend it as a last resort.

Easy to use with app Store application, although not downloadable on iTunes, creating less flexibility for usage. The cost for their MP3 is high. Appreciate its thinnest, and quality fabric.

This is the dreamiest of all dreampads! For the past 4 years sleeping has been a rough road for me. A friend recommended the dream pad as a solution, as I did not want to start taking medication for it. The dream pad has absolutely changed my nights! I look forward to going to bed! Not only has it helped me fall asleep, I feel so much more relaxed when I wake! Beyond just a sleep aid, the dream pad has endless therapy solutions! Yes, it is pricy, but how can you put a price on a good nights sleep- I could have dished out way more on medications to sleep. I recommend the dreampad, and the support staff that came with my purchase!

Great for my sleep issues, and just good relaxation! I have been using mine for several months now, and have to keep my family members from absconding with it. The best part is it doesn't keep my husband awake while I am listening.I can set the timer so it doesnt play longer than I want it to.I love my dreampad!
