I feel like this mirror had mixed reviews; but I took a chance on it, because the price was right. I've only had this mirror for about a week, but I like it. It is a little bright, but you kinda get used to it as you use it. If there's enough natural light, I don't need to turn it on, anyway. The magnification showed me all kinds of stray eyebrow hairs that my big bathroom mirror was hiding from me. It charged up nicely. I haven't used it with batteries yet. Overall, a good deal. I have no complaints so far.

I love the gold colorjng! It looks great in a Mediterranean colored room. Co stricter great and I look forward to many years of use with this beauty!!!

Well, I just got it today and here are my initial thoughts.1. Sturdy2. Nice size. Not too small, not too big.3. I really think the one I received was a return. Why? Because the box was bent at the opening and the mirror was not wrapped properly. But, I did not want this to deter me from trying it. I just cleaned it with alcohol wipes, just in case.4. I think it was returned because the mirror didn’t “stay” at whatever position I set it. It would tilt down on its own. I tightened up the screw where the mirror attaches to the base and now it stays.5. I wish it could get taller and shorter as needed. The height is fine as is for me, unless I want to use the 2x mirror. Then I need to pick it up to see. This inhibits me from hands free usage.6. Although the base locks in fine, I just wish it would fold under the mirror. It’s kind of bulky to store in my make-up drawer.7. I’m not sure I like how the mirror lights up. Even though the light-brightness is adjustable, with the lights coming from each dot surrounding the mirror is REALLY bright and when I dim it then, of course, dims the reflection which can alter the make-up application. It’s weird. I’m used to large upper-torso mirrors with light bulbs surrounding them (for stage make-up purposes). And, I’m used to smaller mirrors with light up cases as well. But, admittedly, the smaller ones usually have the light features covered which helps soften the glare but not the brightness impact. So, I guess I’ll have to see.8. Love the color.All this review is prior to actual use with applying make-up but these are my initial thoughts.

You can plug it in or you can use batteries. The light is perfectly bright and the magnifying sides help tweeze the eyebrows. Lol

Cons:1) Battery life is terrible. So I bought rechargeable batteries, but even after buying those and charging them for an entire 48 hours, the brightness fades immediately. The only way to get full brightness is to constantly keep them charging via the charging cord.2) And on the brightness subject: mine doesn’t have different brightness settings. Only 1 function, it’s off or on and that’s it. I’ve tried everything with the power button. And if I left it not charging while using the lights, that brightness level, it’s useless and I can’t see any better than without it! And that low level is likely the low level that should be adjustable by the power button.3) Although the brightness is bright (as long as it’s plugged in) no lights on the side mirrors stinks. I use the magnified mirrors for everything on my eyes (eyeshadows, liquid liner, brow pen - btw benefit cosmetics good proof eyebrow thingy is superior - mascara, etc.) I can’t see my right eye well enough because of the lighting not extending to those mirrors *eye roll* so my liquid liner on that eye never looks great bc I have to use the big one.4) I basically end up using it as a hand-held mirror because it’s not big enough to see close enough - for me at leastPros: I like aqua :)1) The titling is appreciated.2) I like that I can fold it up and put it away.

I don't remember what made me think about buying one of these, but I use it every week. It sits in my home office on my desk and I use it to pluck my eyebrows so I don't have to stand and lean over the sink for an hour and hurt my back. I also use it for face masks. It works by USB but also works by batteries. I use batteries because I don't want to keep it plugged in to my laptop to use. When you turn it on, the lights are very bright. You can tap and hold on the power icon and the lights will dim. If you lift your finger and tap and hold again, the lights will brighten. I really like that you get to control the brightness. I also like that it has a 3x and a 2x part on the right side of the opening doors. This mirror is very useful!
