Not so Kid Friendly
Purchased this tablet for my twins and in a matter of 2 weeks the first iPad touch screen stop working and the second one was done a week later. It fell off the bed to my carpeted floor face up no more than a one foot fall. I picked it up and the screen was completely gone. I tried to cut on and tap nothing happened. Not too kid friendly. The color was the only thing that was lasting and kid friendly. I'm only one parent with an opinion. I say choose the tablet that either comes with a warranty if broken/ defective in less than a month or some form of return policy.

One Of My Favorite Kid's Tablets
I am a foster mom who runs a group home. We have a lot of kiddos here and sometimes I just need to sit them all down and let them play with a quiet activity while I catch up on some much needed chores around the house. Tablets are my savior. They are universally loved by kids of all ages. From preschool to high school tablets are 'cool'. So we have a ton of them. I've tried quite a few kids tablets. Google, other Android tablets, and Leapfrog. I love Leapfrog for the younger kids, but by about 8 they need something else. Something like this ProntoTec Wimo tablet. This tablet has been fantastic so far. I purchased two of them and both have worked really well in my household of MANY kids. The battery on this thing lasts a really long time which is fantastic, because I don't want my kids to all constantly be fighting over charging areas. When you have a big family, not everyone can charge their tablet at once. So the fact this one stays charged for a pretty long time is a huge blessing. The ProntoTec Wimo was obviously built with little ones in mind. Everything about it is kid friendly. It's very easy to operate and use with a very sensitive touch screen. Even the littlest of fingers from my 2 and 3 year olds register on the screen. They can get around to different activities relatively easily on their own- with the help of the 7+ children in the home they can operate these very easily. And any kids over 7 can run them entirely on their own.My kids use these tablets to play educational games, listen to music, do homework, Skype with friends and family, and take a ton of pictures and videos. They love everything about these tablets and so do I. The tablets have worked really well for us so far. They haven't frozen up, shut off at random times, or glitched in any way. The touch screens continue to work in tip-top shape and the tablets themselves do not run slowly. Everything continues to run fast even after a few months of daily use.But- the real kicker for why I've rated these particular tablets five stars is the fact that they are so unbelievably durable. My kids have a habit of treating their technology pretty crappily. So I need tablets that can hold up to everything my kids throw at them. These have been pushed into book shelves, dropped, stepped on, grabbed hard by tiny hands, covered in cheeto dust, shoved into backpacks, and I'm sure much more- and yet they continue to work. The best kid-friendly devices are ones that are kid-proof and so far these tablets seem to be just that,I am beyond impressed with these tablets. They're about half the price of my LeapFrog ones, but just as great for the kids. They register well to small fingers, the touch screens work great, they don't slow down after a lot of use, the battery life is long, and they're super durable. I can't think of a single complaint- and if I do, I'll be back. But until then, these are definitely 5 star tablets for kids and I highly recommend them.
