Healing Oils of the Bible

Some readers will consider this book radical, and, according to my search for synonyms, it is. If you have the same word-processing software I have, you'll see that "radical" equates to "fundamental," "essential," "sweeping," "thorough," and "far-reaching" with other adjectives letting you know to expect something "major," perhaps with a "drastic" change in thinking or lifestyle.Once you know, for example, that molecules in essential oils are smaller than those in, say, cooking oil, you realize the vital essence of herbs can rapidly permeate every cell in the body. To try this principle, I did as the author suggested and dabbed peppermint oil on a toe, expecting to taste peppermint as he said might happen. It didn't, but within minutes, the strong fragrance of peppermint went through me as though I were holding the bottle to my nose.This book, however, is not full of tricks but is filled with interesting information and the natural health alternative I wanted to swap for vitamin pills and over-the-counter meds. Since I get headaches from perfume and have sensitive skin too, I began with caution, experimenting with essential oils from plants I normally use to season foods (thyme, sage, oregano.) By thinning the essential oils with cooking oil, I've had no problems. Just the opposite in fact. My allergies eased and, thanks to one of the many essential oils having anti-viral properties, I even got over a virus quicker. Pretty radical! But then, God's way often is.

I love this book so much I'm buying a couple more for my adult daughter and my mother. I have already shared it with people I work with. Absolutely this is by far one of the most treasured books I own. I'm 44 years old and can't believe I am just now learning about the connection between essential oils and healing (the science of it) - how ever did I raise two children without this knowledge!?!? I prayed, and I believed in annointing with blessed oil but now I know that I can pray and use these oils, that either work but together they unfold utter truths of God. How mysterious are thine ways Oh Lord!I am eternally grateful and thankful for this information! The information is well presented, balanced and easy to follow. You can even use the book to share with others about the oils. I've probably spent about $100 on oils but hey, everything costs money. I'd rather spend my money on healthy alternatives than prescriptions! I'd rather trust God for healing and then, by acting (touching the hem of His garment) I am healed - awesome way to live folks!God is GREAT!

This is an awesome book and a wonderful guide for personal health with huge support of your faith in God. Essential oils were used in Biblical days for healing but have since been replaced by modern medicines with many side effects. Essential Oils are claimed not to have side effects. I gathered from this book the use of these oils should not be taken lightly. They can be toxic if not used properly. Further, the author states these oils should be used in conjunction with prayer, as was done in Biblical Days, else more harm than good may occur. The author writes the story of his severe back injury to which he suffered many years until he began using these healing oils and was healed. Personally I am new to the use of essential oils and have learned quite a lot from this book about them and what and how to use for what ailments. I am eagerly awaiting the arrival of my shipment to begin my own personal therapy.

Did you ever stop to think of all the knowledge that is hidden from us about certain things the Lord has to help us? Some of that knowledge can be found in this exceptional book on the Healing Oils of the Bible. In the past did they truly use certain oils to stop sickness, heal cuts and the likes? You bet they did and this book will help you to know how to use them NOW in your life. It is truly an eye opener, packed full of information and told in a way you will understand. If you are like me and have had some bad experiences with traditional medicine you will enjoy seeing some of the alternative ways you can help your body in this book. Packed full of explanations of different oils that are available for use now. I recommend this read, it is well worth your time.

An absolute fantastic book. we have lost this great treasure house of medicinal cures for all diseases coz we have stopped believing in GODS gift HE has given to mankind.we live in a busy world and accept that chemically manufactured drugs will cure us but they all have sife effects but GODS oils have no side effects and they cure many dieases at once.this book is a must buy for people who really belive in GODS power to heal us if we allow HIM to work in us through HIS oils.I have read this book many times and still go to it for reference. I use oils and can say 100% that it works.myrrh and frankinsence along with lavender in almond or olive oil is what I use for my face and neck and I haven't suffered from pimples,wrinkles or dry skin for a year now...so GODS oils are the way to go.this is a must buy book.

Let me state up front, I don't share the author's religious beliefs, and I knew I'd have to be reading things I heavily disagree with in buying this book. My main interest was I wanted to see an overview of what oils were used during those times and for what reasons. I've not completely finished the book yet, but the book has more than satisfied my needs to see what oils were around in those days and how they were used. It didn't answer my questions about where these uses came from, which civilizations were the first to discover and use essential oils and what they were originally used for. So, I will probably look into other books that cover the history of aromatic oils better, so thats fine. But I will also look at other books that go more into the energy work and spiritual value and uses of oils in a neutral way without having to read about "satan" and "chosen" people, etc. etc. etc. I bought another book on Kindle that looks interesting about real "evidence based" uses of essential oils, but I do recommend this particular book if you want to know some of the history of aromatic oils and their uses 2,000 years ago, as used by ALL religious and races of those times. Good book, too preachy, but worth buying.

This book is the most interesting and insightful book on oils used in ancient times and today that I have ever read. There are those who would say that this is a false book. That you shouldn't waste your money or time on it. For those, I have one question...Have you actually read the book!? I doubt many who rate this book badley have even opened one up. There is so much truth in this book. David Stewart is a great writer and his books are always so interesting. I have learned a lot about the oils that I did not know before just by reading this book. I highly recommend this book to anyone. It would make a great gift! If you are interested in the oils and would like to learn about how they were used in ancient times then this book is for you. You won't be sorry you bought it! Try it today

This book is not rocket science, nor do you need to be a brain to grasp its principles. Before starting to read it, I looked up all references to The Plague and learned of an oil blend called "Thieves". I heard the author mentioned that in a podcast interview.From that information, I made up my own blend of Thieves. I figured that if it could fight off the plague, I was willing to see what else it could fight off. After a month, my allergies have subsided drastically, and I also have noticed that I have almost no body odor.Really reading the book is like a fresh breeze of information. Dr. Stewart backs up his claims with Bible references. Even that being said, I didn't feel "preached at". IF, however, you are a strong believer, supporter, or worker in the medical field, some of your feelings might get bruised - especially if you're not a Christian.Even though heavy strokes are made against the medical industry, DOCTOR Stewart presents statistical data to support his claims. If you question that, simply listen to all of the side-effects listed on pharmaceutical drug commercials. They basically tell you what you can expect, albeit in a very calm and soothing voice.For the Christian, even if you are trying to be a devoted follower of Christ, this book will cause you to look at yourself and look for weak links in your armor. I was apprehensive about reading a section called "Why Prayer Doesn't Always Work", but later found Stewart to be completely on target. It was like I had walked out of a dark cave on a bright sunny day.Simply put, READ IT. ---THIS BOOK WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE.

Little slow going at times but has some good information

The book is exactly like described, “almost new”, I would say even better, it is like new.Has lots of descriptions of oils which are around us every day and we do not realise the inside benefits offered. The reference from the Bible and explanations can be checked too, as indications are given.So over all it is an excellent book with wisdom between pages.

This book is awesome! Easy to read and understand. Dr Stewart is very knowledgeable and shares his knowledge with a kind wisdom. Very enjoyable read.

Das Buch hat mich mit Begeisterung angesteckt, mich über die unsäglichen Wunder und Geheimnisse der Schöpfung zu freuen! Es ist phantastisch, welch hilfreicher Reichtum in der Natur verborgen ist. Erfrischt haben mich auch die intelligenten Querverbindungen zum biblischen Wort, zur medizinischen Wissenschaft, zu konkreten Erfahrungsberichten, zu praktischen Anwendungen und zur kreativen Seite im Menschen. Von mir aus müsste es nicht unbedingt mit einer spezifischen Produktelinie verbunden sein, aber dies hat mich beim Lesen auch nicht gross gestört. Ein motivierendes Buch, das viel Freude und Farbe in mein Leben gebracht hat: Seit ich es gelesen habe, "sammle" ich Düfte, und kann so "im kleinen Köfferchen" ganz preisgünstig, und wann ich gerade möchte, auf "Duft-Weltreise" gehen, quer durch den ganzen Globus! I love it!

Extremely informative and an excellent guide to the understanding of the history of the Oils throughout time. Beautiful biblical references and I found it really uplifting and encouraging book to read. Highly recommend it.
