Surprise! It has to be cooked.
I haven't tasted the "sauce" yet, but it is not a prepared sauce. The product is a powder that has to be cooked up in "semi skim Milk". (Their words.) If, before I made the purchase, I had read the fine print on the back of the package I would not have bought it. Someday, when I have time to kill, I'll brew it up and see how it tastes. But there are other good tasting sauces out there that are ready to use out of the container.

Convenient
Makes a great base sauce for mac n cheese. The nearest amount of mustard and extra grated mature cheddar and it creates a very cheesy, smooth white sauce. Incredibly convenient! As a straight up cheese sauce it's still very acceptable but does have that wotsit cheesiness to it which some may not like. Not the kind of packet sauce to rely on if you're having a dinner party!
