This product was identical to another that was previously available at CVS. They could not keep in on the shelf because it was effective and inexpensive. Now this product is no longer available also. Nothing raises my suspicions about consumer and market manipulations as much as when this happens. But not to worry, look at all of the expensive alternatives that are available instead. Sheeesh.

Good product,have used it for years

These remind me of the old Maalox (that you can no longer buy). They are quite lemony and crunchy - not melt-in-your-mouth - but they also don't have a bad aftertaste like the melt-in-your-mouth kind. They work very well for me - I will be buying more when these run out.

Not chalky. Mild Taste.

Firstly, I will say Mintox Plus is quite inexpensive and you get a lot of product. However, as an antacid it's not as effective as something like Pepcid Complete or an antacid containing Omeprazole. I bought this because I've used the former two mentioned products quite a bit, and I wanted to try something different. Pepcid is the safest (least side effects) compared to these other two products. Omeprazole has been known in a few cases to cause kidney damage, and Mintox Plus unfortunately has aluminum hydroxide, which can contribute to memory loss.
