Orbit 21006 B-hyve Wi-Fi Hub, Gen 1, Gray

Works perfect but you need to make sure what you are using is the correct Generation that will pair with this. Easy set up and has worked without any issues. Would recommend for anyone that has a existing system or a stand alone.

This goes with the B-Hyve automatic watering system. I love that if it rains it doesn't automatically water. I needed another hub since I wanted to have sprinklers at different times.

I bought this B-Hyve WIFI hub because i have a hose time that would keep losing connection to the hub on the other side of the house. This hub allows that hose time to connect and work via WIFI. It makes it easy to keep the hose time on a schedule so I don't have to do it manually, however, it regularly shows that the hose timer did not connect in the given amount of time, even though I heard it click and start to water. So, it works, but it's by no means perfect.

Tried to use this with the Orbit 24639 B-hyve XD 4-Port Smart Hose Watering Timer,and FAILED miserably and repeatedly. I am a computer support guy so I usually find a way to make things work, this Orbit product is very "IFFY". Unit is sold as a BLUETOOTH timer with WiFi capability ONLY if you add this HUB. Unit worked as advertised but ONLY on Bluetooth which doesn't have the range to connect in my yard. The WiFi hub did connect to my home WiFi but never would connect to the Bluetooth timer to add the WiFi functionality. I TRIED several times to contact what Orbit laughingly calls "support". Be aware, You will NEVER contact a human being on their phone line no matter when or how often you call. The recording states they will contact you within 1 business day. 30+ hours later I got a text msg from Orbit. I explained the problem about WIFI not connecting. Agent texted "let me check something, be right back..", Never heard from him again. Next evening around 5:30 CST I get another text. Told to look at something and ..GONE, never heard from him or anyone again. So let me state this as plainly as possible, ORBIT SUPPORT SUCKS! I concur with many other reviews, you are pretty much on your own if you have any problems. In the end I never did hear from anyone else (after numerous calls) so I just returned everything for refund. Without WIFI you can't use their timer very well as Bluetooth didn't work at the gigantic 50 foot distance to my yard. IF it works I gather it is a nice unit but it's a gamble if it will work as shown by numerous reviews. That's my .02 cents.

Works as advertised and much better price than the companies website. Easy to setup.

These hubs are a bit confusing to program, especially if you are far away from tour wifi. The older valves, which is what i have, require one hub each, a fact i had nit realized until recently. The confusing part is that the setup asks whether you want to use a wifi hub or control the valve directly. Note that controlling directly means that you are asking to only use bluetooth.

I have a ranch home and two of the timers on either side. Even with the hub in the center of the home under my covered porch, it didn’t connect to both devices. Really unfortunate.

I have spent hundreds of dollars on beautiful plants, but never kept it growing for more than a month. When it was time to tear up my construction grade flower bed, I was anxious. But adding this to my home made it easy to manage. It has a timer to set off the sprinklers when I want to, from wherever I am! This piece gives the other piece the capability to be controlled from the app (WHICH IS AWESOME). It always detect weather; so when it rains - it doesn’t waste your water bill and skips the watering automatically!

The product is extremely hard to set up and completely unreliable. The range of the wifi is poor. When eventually set up after awhile they stop working and so are totally unreliable to operate remotely. They will not support faulty items bought from Amazon,
