Elio Water USB Rechargeable 750ml UV Self-Cleaning Water Bottle

1 month after purchase: The charge life was less than a month. More like 2.5-3 weeks. I figured out how to work the bottle, but full instructions with the item are needed. I still can’t fathom why the company didn’t think of this. Even with hand washing the lid and inside and outside of the mouth the bottle takes on a smell like all others I’ve had. The mouth is so wide that it covers from my mouth to almost the top of my nose when drinking. This is a real inconvenience. The mouth is sharp and cuts my lip when drinking from the product. The product has seemed to help with issues due to my lowered immune system that regular bottles kept causing even when kept washed regularly. That’s what keeps the stars where they are. This product isn’t much bigger than its competitor (about 2 cups) which is a ding for me as a teacher because I can’t keep going to get water all day. There isn’t time. An extra system will have to be worked out and I’ll only be able to drink reliably between lessons because of the mouth width. The product also doesn’t keep cold water cold for even an hour without ice, which again with the mouth width causes issues. If I didn’t have health issues this product wouldn’t be a buy for me.Original, just out of box: It’s still new to me. I’ll update my review after using it for a month. For now, it keeps the water cold. It doesn’t come with instructions so clicking the power button on top is confusing to me. The button glows green when charging, but when pushed after changing it turns red. Am I powering the UV off? Is the red an indication that extra cleaning is being done? Even searching the Internet for answers come up with nothing. This makes me weary. I am immunosuppressed and got this to help, but maybe I should have gone with the more expensive brand. Again, I’ll review again after a month, but for now I’m confused and weary.

This water bottle gives me peace of mind. Perfect for taking on a hike or for every day use. I plan to use it when I travel for extra insurance when using different water supplies. Thank you.

This thing seems to work, but out of two tries and one return, the bottle is only 420 ml. I'm not even sure they have a 750 ml version of this. I looked on the Elio website and the 420 ml is the only one they have. 56% of the size advertised is a bit of a drawback. I wanted to be able to fill a 1.5 liter hydration pack with two pours. Not the end of the world, but not what I ordered and paid for, either.
